![]() | Hello Dr Walden, BBW help
Let me just say that I'm gratefull that we can ask you these questions on an open forum. I asked this under the CC/Size, but didn't get many responses. I really guess that this is unusual. I am a plus size woman. As my body grew over the years and I breast fed 3 children, I really didn't gain much up top as everywhere else. Overall I'm healthy, just plus size. i currently wear a 48C bra but more on the B side of that. My chest is wide and I have alot of tissue. I am more the "pear shape". At my first consult the Dr thought I want'ed reduced, but just the contrary I would like more projection and fullness too. Something in the order of a DD with lift and cleavage(not too far apart). I have read alot online and asked other women, but there are few like me out there(lots of thin girls). the Dr I am seeing uses Mentor Round either gel or saline, so I've spent even more time on their site. From my width I presume that I can use a very wide implant and I'd like to do full under if possible. I've read where the HP causes speration quite often....Wow that's alot to digest. My question really is, does a 700cc Moderate+ seem like too much to do under, as I have read that alot of thinner women seem to be getting 600 HP's or 650 moderates? Am I asking too much or is this possible? I don't want to go in for my next consult and sound like I don't have a clue. Thank you again.

![]() | Base diameter and implant profile
Well, since you are describing that you are plus sized, and wear a 48 C bra, I would estimate that you do have a wide breast base. It would be hard to give a recommendation without examining you, but suffice it to say that for a plus size woman with a large base diameter, a larger sized implant may be used than in the average sized woman...you will need to talk it over with your surgeon to come up with what is best for your anatomy. I think moderate plus profile implants are nice and natural appearing in a wide variety of women, and if you have a very wide base diameter and went with a high profile implant I would be concerned the implant volume would be just too much. Remember, for a given base diameter the volume will go up with the higher profile of implant. You don't want to be weighed down with your implants or appear top heavy. I generally use moderate or moderate plus profile implants in larger women who have base diameters of 14 or 15cm or more and a fair amount of breast tissue to start with for these reasons. ![]() | Thank you for your reply one more if you don't mind
I don't mind becoming "topheavy" as long as I look like they could be mine. I'm looking for a 48DD with fullness as well as "projection". I just don't want to have the " porn star" look..big round basket ball boob look. I will ask my ps on monday when we meet. I just want to make sure that a 700 or 800 HP or 700 mod + isn't something a big woman could realisticly ask for. He had a 450 in his office that we put in my bra and all it did was finish filling up my c-cup bra as I seem to lean towards the c- side....lol. have a great weekend.
