![]() | sizing and BWD
A have a question when I went for my consult my PS said that my BWD was about 12, now he suggested a 375cc and a 400cc mentor Hp implant, and I picked a 425cc and a 450cc, bigger then he suggested but not alot, he said if I wanted he could even order a 475cc if i wanted bigger, so my question is how does that work i thought that the implant had to be the same or smaller then your BWD. 375cc=12.0cm 400cc=12.2 425cc=12.5 450=12.8 475=13.0 is it going to fit ????or is it just going to give me more side boob and more of a fake look ! I do not want to get symmasta trying to fit in the larger implant,I would hope that if it was not going to fit the PS office would have phed me ??. __________________ |

if he said HP's, then maybe if you wanted bigger he'll use the VHP's or the UHP's? but you're right - going wider than your BWD would risk symestia (tho in some very special cases it is done. but definitely not the norm due to the risks). hth |

![]() | Implant size and base width
Just be careful to not go with an implant that is too much larger than the size recommended given your base width and chest wall dimensions. The most optimal results in breast augmentation are found in those who get implants that are congruent with their anatomy and base width limitations. The bigger the implant, the increased likelihood of tissue stretch and issues associated with bottoming out and thinning tissues, etc. Good luck!
