hardness after BA

I was wondering if it was normal to feel my breasts so hard 6 days post op. I am so uncomfortable with these rock hard breasts, my surgeon told me to wait massaging till after I see her again, which is in two more days. What could help with this meanwhile. Help!!!!!!! Does wearing a sport bra help, cause all I'm wearing is the band across the chest.

There is a normal amount of firmness associated with swelling and surgical manipulation of the tissues and muscle after BA, and most patients' tissues will soften with time (usually in the first one to two months).. If one side is much more swollen or hard than the other, especially early after surgery, consult your PS right away as it could be a fluid or blood collection.
