Timetable for complications

Dr. Walden, Thanks for taking the time to help us.

Can you tell me is there a usual cut off date for hematoma, seroma, incision infections, pocket infections and other complications that typically happen early in recovery. I know CC can happen anytime. But for the others, when can I stop worrying about whether sex or lifting something heavy is going to cause me to pop open a few blood vessels and along comes a hematoma? I'm comparing it to looking forward to my "second trimester" for my boobs. Thanks!!

Limitation of activity

The first 4-6 weeks are critical for following post-op instructions regarding limitation of activity, and to get the best healing etc. Infections tend to occur early but are quite rare and can theoretically occur anytime. Seromas of the breast are very rare when an implant is in place.

Good luck!
