Hi Dr. Walden, I had a reduction and lift done in 2002 a few days later i noticed my nipples were sitting extremely high almost on my chest wall rather that the breast itself. My PS assured me it would drop. Years later after many embarrasing moment of my nipples coming out of the tops of my bras I decided to get it fixed. I used to be a 34DD after 1st surgery I was 36D and 2nd same size. I had 300cc smooth round implants and a lift agian on June 5, 2008. I know when they were first done they were so high but i kind of made me feel good to once agian have some breast tissue on top. I however noticed only 12 weeks after they softened really nice and droped to exactally the same place my breast were before. I saw my PS and he said to massage them twice a day and see him in 5 weeks, that I might have to have a relift. At the time I was just so upset and didnt think to ask anything and until I see him Im wracking my brain and cant stop obbsessing about this. If I would have known this would have the same end result I would never have done it. Once agian my nipples are almost totally out of the bra. Now I have an anchor scar where as before I had a lollypop and debt. My question is have you heard of this before, Ive looked at pictures of bottoming out but it doesnt look like that, the volume on top is completely gone but not big on the bottom? And do PS's usually charge a lot for something like this being I just had it done 3 months ago? Did I do something wrong to cause this, wrong sports bra, wrong massage technice. Please help any advice would be comforting. Thank you |

It's very hard to tell anything without examining you, but I would recommend that before you get any further revision surgery done, you seek a second opinion with another reputable plastic surgeon who is board certified and experienced in re-do aesthetic breast surgery. Don't jump into any further procedure that you are confused about, and don't be shy about asking questions of your surgeon(s). Good luck, Dr Walden The above message is not intended to substitute or imply medical advice.
