Mastodynia

Hello and thank you for taking the time out to read my question - my family doctor advises that I suffer from mastodynia and I am scheduled for a BL and breast augmentation......will the surgery increase my breast pain after healing is completed? I am 54 years old, 5"5" and 145 pounds. I am getting a 250 cc cohesive gel implants - over the muscle.

I have been having mamograms for 10 years with no problems.

Mastodynia is another word for breast pain. It is poorly understood, and can be caused by a variety of factors. I would not be able to make a statement or guess whether or not your mastodynia would be worsened or made better by surgery. It would be unlikely that surgery would improve it, though.
