Ultrasound for CC

Have you had any of your patients have ultrasound for CC? If so what are the parameters that you usually recommend? If you don't recommend ultrasound what do you usually recommend?

Ultrasound for capsular contracture

Hi,
I have had only had a few of my patients develop capsular contracture as I place my implants under the muscle, and I have sent them to get ultrasound. A few, but not all, have said it helped. I think in early grades of FCC it may help a bit, but in women who have more advanced fibrous capsular contracture, it probably is of little benefit. Most of the reports on the benefit of external ultrasound for FCC are anecdotal thus far. I also have my patients perform massage and in certain instances take vitamin E for capsular contracture, but once again, these are only in a certain few cases.

Good luck.
