Heart Rate Up?

Why is it not a good idea to get your heart rate up after surgery? What happens? I am asking only because I was told this with my breast aug I just had and another surgery recently for something else. I always go upstairs back & forth and it makes my heart race to climb the stairs. (For less than a minute) and was wondering if I am doing anthing wrong?

I also want to add I suffered another hematoma with this surgery and have a drain in for this week. It is finally slowing down. I wasn't sure if the heart racing could make it bleed more?

yes, that is exactly why you are not suposed to get your heartrate up. It puts you at an incresed risk for late post op bleeding and hematoma.
