Hi Dr. Walden, It seems many surgeons have their patients wait at least 6 months after having an augmentation before considering a revision. I can understand this when it is a sizing issue or something that might improve over time, like one side dropping quicker than the other. However, if a patient were to develop a complication that doesn't typically correct itself like capsular contracture, generally speaking, what would the downside be to correcting it sooner rather than later? Does it increase the persons risk for infection or poor healing? Thanks for your input! |
