![]() | bruising/hematoma
I have a lot of bruising under one breast (maybe 1.5 inches). Could this be hematoma? There is no pain or swelling that I can see. Does hematoma always have pain and swelling?

in my experiance it hurt... & sewlled... & swelled......it was hot too... bruising is normal... to an extent... it should hit a point & begin to get better... if it graduly gets worse & hot & hard... contact your plastic surgeon. |

![]() | Bruising versus Hematoma
Bruising under the breast in the initial postoperative period is not abnormal and doesn't necessarily mean you have a hematoma. A hematoma could make your breast swollen, firm, bruised, and painful. You would want to seek medical attention immediately if you suspected you had a hematoma.
