a fold in my gel implant

hi, im new here, looking for some advice.. i had 1st BA in 2006 unders cohesive gel.. i got CC in left breast and had to have a re-do and also went to bigger size 450/500 cc, unders again. (may 2007) so now 15 months later i have discovered after having a scan because i could feel a triangle type lump, that i have a fold in my gel implant( right breast).. i have heard this is virtually impossible.. does that mean its the surgeons mistake??? will i need to have new implants put in?? also still having problems with asymetical breast which is the original reason for BA.. would switching to overs help with this problem... and should the dr discount my next re-do because of the fold.... i hate the thought of a 3rd surgery...
thanks so much for your time...

A fold is an unusual thing to happen. Was this a contained rupture? This is something you should check out with your surgeon.

hi thanks for reply, it is folded over like a cuff... from the centre inside across the bottom.. no leak or tear. does this sound like surgeons error when doing surgery, i can't think of anyway that this could have happened post surgery...i would like as much info as possible before i go see PS tomorrow afternoon.
thanks again.

I don't think so. I think it just folded on its own.

Did you look for one thet specializes in corrective surgery . I am sure there is one out there that does mostly secondary surgeries..
I know there are alot of them here in the US.. Sorry you are having problems. Good luck..

I wouldn't be able to tell you without seeing your studies and examining you. Sometimes implants bend in the pocket after the implant has ruptured.
