My 3rd BA due to bottoming out twice
Hi,
My story so far Pre BA - small 10B 1st BA - smooth, under the muscle, 325cc silicone, medium profile. 2nd BA - both breasts, pocket revision due to bottoming out. Same implants used. 3rd BA - currently 1 week Post Op. Implants changed to textured (Silimed Polyurethane foam covered), 325cc, high profile. Before the op we discussed that he would just replace the unders, however once i was opened up he changed from unders to overs due to my pockets being too stretched both down and towards my armpits. He felt the pocket would not hold. All BA's have been crease incisions. My questions - What would be your advice for Post Op? I am only wearing a soft bra now - do you beilieve that bras have anything to do with bottoming out? I will not be exercising for 6 weeks to let them heal. Do you recommend sleeping flat or propped up? I just want to take every possible precaution to stop bottoming out again. I know that the foam covered implants are not available in the US, however based on being textured and not having a pocket to move around in, I asked my PS about the standard Dropping (drop and fluff as they call it), and he said that the implants shouldn't drop and will stay where he put them. Does this sound right? Thank-you so much. Krissy. |

Textured implants usually stay where they were placed. I don't think the bras are very important. I usually have patients where a loose sports bra after surgery.
