Bottoming out?
I am almost five months po and while taking a picture I realized that my right breast sits lower than the left. The nipples are at the same height though. I went to see my PS and he said we can tack the bottom back if I am really bothered by it but than then my nipples may not be even. I am wondering if my nipple are even and pretty well centered on the breast mound is this really bottoming out or just differences in settling? Also, is there anything I can do to prevent it from coming down any farther? When he used his level the nipples are even but the right breast is about 1" lower at the bottom. looking at the breast it doens't really look like bottoming out. More like the bottom of my breast is stretched more. I added a pic to my profile.

I am having the same issue and im not bottoming out. My left one has just settled lower down than my right and I also had more breast tissue on my left to start out with so it sat lower to begin with. Hope you feel better about it but honestly I wouldnt start worrying until there is a difference between the nipples. JMO

All breasts are asymmetric. I couldn't tell you if it is true bottoming out without examining you.

If it were true bottoming out is there anything I can do to prevent it from getting worse?

I had bottoming out after my first BA so when I saw one boob starting to slide lower than the other (1/2" difference) I went right in to see my PS. Now when I measure the bottom of each boob is exactly even.
Here is what I did: First, my new ps was nice enough to put surgical tape back on me so I knew exactly where the bottom of the pocket is supposed to be. He even gave me a bottle of surgical glue so the tape would stay on until my next post-op. Then I used a strap that I made myself after my first BA. It is basically just a high elastic bra band (just the band part) that I put together using sewing supplies. I place the band right at the bottom of the surgical tape so my implants can't slide any lower than the tape. The band is 3/4 to 1" high. I also have a very supportive bra that is made just for post surgery. The band on this bra is so high (an inch to an inch and a half) that I don't need to wear my home-made strap when I wear it. When I take the strap off to change, I notice that my breasts stay even for those few minutes, so I feel like I caught the sliding early and won't need to wear the band for too long. But I am going to need to wear a very supportive bra for a VERY long time. I had really terrible bottoming out after my first ba and my old ps didn't even offer to fix it, at any price. So I wore this band for a longer time than I care to admit. But it did work! In my opinion, the earlier you catch and correct the bottoming out, the better! hth!

Yes, sometimes elastic bands may help scar tissue develop in the early post-op period to prevent the bottoming out to get worse.
