My surgery was on May 27 of this year with 325 silicone implants. I began noticing about a week and a half ago that my right breast was sitting higher on my chest than it was. It still feels somewhat soft but in addition to being higher on my chest, it also doesn't fill out the bottom of the breast as much (If I pinch the underside while standing it is just my original breast tissue). I went to my surgeon last week, he examined me but said I show some signs of CC but he isn't that concerned because the implant can be displaced well throughout the pocket. He said I should do massage (focusing on pressing the breast downward) and see him in a month and possibly discuss Singulair. Let me say, I trust my doctor, this is not his fault, I know doctors can't control how a persons body will react to a foreign substance. I just prefer taking a more agreesive (but safe) approach. I have done alot of research on this complication but most of what I find is treating more advanced cases. I really do not want to wait and see, I'd like to try and act now. [COLOR="DarkRed"]What treatments are there available for early cases of capsular contracture? [COLOR="Black"] I am not sure what is reasonable for me to expect. It seems like (at least from the journals online) the best results are seen with surgical removal of the scar tissue. I am not really interested in trying out Singulair or Accolate but am open to pretty much anything else, and the sooner the better. FYI, I added a side by side picture in my public album to compare the change over the past few weeks. I am worried I could be overreacting (after all he went to med school and I did not) and don't know if I should get a second opinion. I am leaning more toward asking him about other options for combating this potential problem, just don't know where to start and what is out there. The right breast is soft, but I can feel resistance when pressing it, like there is a capsule around the implant but it is not squeezing it excessively enough to make my breast firm. Any guidance you can offer is really appreciated! |

Both implants look a bit high. Since it is only 2 months, you may expect them to come down a bit more. Follow your doctor's instructions.

So you do not think there is any reason to be concerned considering that my right implant is now higher on my chest than it was two weeks previously? |

I think you have to see what happens over the next few months. If it doesn't come down, you may need additional surgery.
