Bra Wearing at night

I have had a lift and gel implants under the muscle. My surgeon has great skills but terrible at explaining things. Everywhere on line I read to wear a bra at night but when I asked my surgeon he told me I can go braless at night. As I dont like wearing the bra at night it was the answer I wanted to hear but not sure if it is the right answer

It seems like all PS vary on what they want. Mine has me in an underwire 24/7 for 2 months. Most say no underwire. Some have to wear sports bras. It just depends on the drs preference. I'd stick with what he told you but if it wasn't clear, maybe call and double check?

My bra at 3rd day post op told me to wear whatever bra I want because I didn't have crease incision. Drs differ in their instructions.

Yes, all surgeons are different. In a straight primary breast augmentation, it probably does not matter too much. I am not a big fan of underwire bras especially if a patient has had an inframammary incision.

no bra suggested- 5 weeks out

my PS told me NOT to wear any bra at all until he says to... i wonder if it changes depending on the type of incision/implant you get though.

which has been awkward in the summer with your nipples always pointing (i had areola incision) and always have had kind of pointy nipples and smaller aereola!

i always said "i can't wait to never have to wear a bra again!" especially with tops that have crazy backs that you can't wear a bra in, now i can't wait to cover these nipples up lol!

My ps told me at 2 weeks to go braless until 3 months then to wear a bra all the time even at nite and not a sportsbra but a regular underwire bra. It's irritating b-cuz I hate wearing bra's period but I don't want them to sag so Im definently in one all the time lol!

Oh gosh, I couldn't imagine having to wear an underwire to sleep. Mine are all very comfortable, but if a accidentally fall asleep wearing one I always take it off in my sleep!! Uh oh! Sounds like I'm in trouble.

Yep, doc's are all different....but I do agree alot depends on size and where your incisions are. I was told to wear my postBA bra for two weeks all the time, then he said I could wear whatever bra I want but I must wear one during the day but it was up to me at night. I actually do still wear one at night (nonwires, soft cup) because at this point my boobs feel more comfortable in one position.

I always have some kind of bra on all the time...even months after breast augmentation, because implants have a higher tendency to sag over time.

Mine said to wear a sports bra at night for the life of the implants so they don't sag. Like the real thing, gravity takes them in a downward spiral with time.

My PS has told me multiple times to make sure I wear a sports bra every night. I just has a redo to tighten my pockets and I am terrified of messing them up so I'll do it.

My PS told me to wear a sportsbra for 6 weeks all day all night then a normal underwire bra. After reading all your posts it makes sense to wear a sports bra at night too to prevent them sagging, so I think I'll be investing in some comfortable nighttime ones.

So now wearing a bra at night "daily" is not going to make them sag more or less? This is what concerned me. I wear them every day all day but not at night. But some women adamantly wear them at night as well.
