Sternum Compression Bra?

Hi Dr. Wallach,

I had my breast augmentation last friday and was placed in a V-panel sternum compression bra with the compression band on top immediately following surgery. On my first post-op visit I was told I did not need the compression band but was to stay in the V-panel bra. I thought these types of bras were for symmastia repair. Are they commonly used for breast augmentation as well? Sorry if this seems like a redundant question it's just making me nervous. Thanks in Advance!

I don't use compression bras. Every surgeon is different. I suppose yours likes them.
