![]() | Strange Question..
Cant find the answer to this one.. 2 months ago, had a breast augmentation. Had teardrop textured. I got a warranty card from the PS. Told contact the Manufacturer if I wanted an extended warranty. When I called them, they couldnt find my serial numbers, told me they were old numbers from Mcgann, and that they were called Allergan now. Finally cross referenced the numbers. I asked them (Out of curiosity) When the implants were made. They told me 2000 and 1999. This worries me.. My PS put implants in me that were 10 years old? Is that ok to do? Allergan said that there is no expiration date on implants.. No reason to worry.. Said that FDA makes them put a 5 year expire on it now, but that was only the last few years.. They also insisted that the Implant (Teardrop) is identical in every way to the one that is made today. No reason to be concerned she said..(They are Allergan natrelle 363LF's) Would you worry? Does that mean my implants will fail 10 years earlier now? |

Hhhmmmm.... mayb the 'life expectancy' of the implant starts from when the implant is actually put inside you. ? of cause i would a bit worried too! but if they said there was no reason to be concerned then i suppose you have to take their word for it. |

ooo I know I would worry Just cause I am PARANOID.. haha and a hypochornidriac sometimes.. BUT Im sure they arent going to lie to you about it.. I would bring it to your PS attention tho, that you were made aware these implants were older and if anything happens to them early on is he going to compensate you! gl

You have to go with what the manufacturer said. It should be OK.
