Post Op Infection Question

Hello,

I had a breast augmentation on 11/6 and was given IV antibiotics as well as 3 days of erythromycin post op. I must admit, 3 days didnt seem like much. Now, I've been diagnosed with an infection in my left breast, drainage, pain, fever, etc. Now, I'm on Levaquin while I await a culture. In your experience, have you successfully treated infection with antibiotics rather than additional surgery? Or have ever had to go directly back to the OR for drainage or removal?
I really appreciate your time and any information you may be able to provide.
Stephanie

If you have drainage, pain, fever, redness, it sounds like the implant has to come out.
