Update on PS visit today on leftie

He comfirmed that it looks like early stages of capsular contracture. I am having the biggest pity party right now. I am sooo pissed that this happened, I waited 43 years after having 8 children to finally do something for myself, life is definatetly NOT FAIR!!!!!! He gave me accolate to take 2x a day and wanted to see my in 4 weeks but I will be in california so I will see him when I get back. he said accolate has a 50-50 chance of working. I pray I am in the good 50% and not on the other side! This really stinks, i thought by week 4 I would be getting all excited about all the pretty bras I can buy soon. I just want to cry, stay in bed all day and feel sorry for myself!!! I know, bad attitude, but I need at least one day to let myself feel what I am feeling , tomorrow I will try and be strong!

I'm sorry but hopefully the accolate will work. Go ahead and have some time to feel sorry for yourself. That's completely fine. You waited a long time to give this gift to yourself. Of course you should feel upset for a little while that things aren't going as planned. It's disappointing. Once you get it all out of your system you will feel better and be able to face it stronger. We are all here for you!

Oh Sunny...I'm so sorry. ugh. I'm sure you are just sick about it. And mad too. I really hope that your chances are good since you caught it so early...4 weeks seems really early to me. I will pray that the medicine works for you. Did they say to start massaging like crazy or is there anything you can do??? I hate that they don't know what causes cc....its so scary.

The important thing is that you've started taking the Accolate NOW, instead of waiting til things have progressed. The earlier you take the Accolate, the better the chance is of it being successful. Hang in there. I know it's tough (I had cc twice). ((HUGS))

Glad you caught it sooo early! That is awesome. Take the Accolate religiously and massage like crazy. I have noticed a tiny difference in just a week on it.

I am using my back massager to really get in there and break up the scar tissue and it helps me massage harder than my hands can. Maybe you could try something like that to help.

You know Sunny, I had the sneaking suspicion that's what was going on. I'm TERRIBLY sorry. I'd take that medication and massage like MAD girl. I'd probably take pics to see if we can see the progress.

Maybe there's some sort of warm water massaging or SOMETHING that can be done that's not so INVASIVE as another surgery. I can't BELIEVE this. It really scares me! It's happening to us left and right!

You've got lots of great support right here. Turn to us and vent and talk whenever you need to. You will get through this.

I'm so sorry!! That's got to be rough. Feeling upset, dissapointed and angry are all normal reactions...go ahead and feel them.

The good thing here is that you've caught it early, they've got you on a treatment plan. I'm sure I speak for many of us when I say that we are right here beside you rooting for you. I'm really praying that the accolate does it's job and that you are in the top 50%.

I am so sorry to hear about your cc, I have had it twice and I am hoping that with my current revision that it doesn't rear it's ugly head my way again. My prays are with you and I hope your treatment works.

Dang. That just sucks. You have every reason to feel cheated and pissed. You don't seem like the type of person to let your feelings interfere with the next right move, though; I see you as honest and strong.

I'm really sorry about the CC...but glad it's early stage. And I'm relieved it wasn't infection.

Sunny, I'm really sorry to hear about the CC. I pray that you catching it early and treating it makes all the difference. I know what it's like to think all is well and something sneaks up on you. Allow yourself the moment to reflect, but you have to bounce back, you want all the positive energy possible.

Sunny, as you know, he told me I had a mild case at 3 weeks and I have been on Singulair and 1000 iu of vit E. He wants me to lightly massage in circles. The only thing that bothers me is that PS's are so different in what they think will work you just have to pray yours is right. I did the same thing the day I found out and I am 43 myself and it does seem unfair but now I just think positive that this treatment is going to work and I will be fine. PM me anytime we are going through the same thing.
