Well I went to my 1 month post op yesterday and ps said they look great still holding ( thank goodness!!) but my incision is red so he said it may be trying to get a little infected. He said looks like the stitch is trying to come out so he put me on an antibotic for 5 days and if it doesn't clear up then Im to see him again. Okay so now I am thinking the worst, what happens if the antibotic doesn't work? Whats the next step? He said since its at the crease and I work out alot, maybe its just irritated from the sweat. So we will see what happens.I mean my gosh finally the boobs are perfect and now this!!!! He did say though that they look great and are very pretty.

Mine look red sometimes, but i just assumed that was increased blood flow from massaging them, which is a good thing as its getting extra nutrients to the scar to strengthen it up. If its not sore/throbbing/weping etc i wouldnt worry too much just take the antibiotics, try not too wear anything which will rub the area and keep them dry. then see what the ps says next time PS salt water is good for inflammation/infection, so may be good idea to rinse the area in salt water once or twice a day and make sure you dry well with tissue gently after michelle | |

![]() | Salt water is great! My rightie did the same thing to me. It actually spit the stitch out...YUCK!!! Anyways, keep in dry and clean it with warm salt water and it should really help it heal. Glad to hear everything else is looking good. XOXO |

I'm sure they're fine. Mine were red for a while too and now they're looking great. Maybe he was just being pro-active and worrying a bit. I work out too.... so maybe that's why mine get red also??? I hope yours are fine! |

Tonya, Hey girl, sorry to hear you might be havin an infection! I think it could definately be due to working out, and sweating, and maybe your sports bra irritating the incision site. I've just started trying to get back to working out more, and I noticed my scars are usually more red afterwards too. So, it could be just the whole blood flow, sweat, irritation of it. But on a happy note, I'm glad to hear they're looking great!!! How's your hair??? Chat soon! |

Tonya, I had a similar problem at 4 weeks. One of my incisions was really red. I was freaking out! I called my PS and he thought is sounded like the stitch trying to come out. I was not put on antibiotics (I really wanted to be just to put my mind at ease), but I did go to the store and purchase a rinse. The next day, my incision started looking better. I also put gauze over it because my bra was bothering it too. Good luck and keep us posted! |

Hey Tonya haven't heard from you in a while. Bummer about the infected incision but sounds like you got some good advice from the girls. I'm thrilled to hear that your boobs are gorgeous and that you're loving them! , right?

My incision oozed, went really red, and then spit a stitch at five weeks. I was worried at first, but it calmed right back down as soon as the stitch was out!
