Hey girl...first of all, yeah---when you are worried, always call the PS. That is what they are there for! I did develop an infection around 3 weeks post-op. My symptoms were fever, then some discomfort, then remarkable swelling, redness, and pain in my left breast. I also had quite a bit of fluid leaking. It is not uncommon to feel warm all over after surgery. Are you taking your temperature? I think it's a good idea for the first several weeks to make it a habit several times a day. So, the things to look for are fever, redness, swelling, and pain. I also realize now, looking back, that I felt pretty achy at the time as well. Try not to worry---one good way to avoid worry is to check in with the PS anytime you have a concern. Don't worry about looking "stupid"!!! Who cares?!? It's YOUR health! good luck! |
