Unhappy Should I Be Worried!!!!

I had my op 6 weeks ago went from a 34 AA to 34 C had 470cc, also had a tummy tuck done at the same time. The healing for my stomach seems to be ok, however days after my opp my right breast seemed to give me alot of pain and kept beeing very swollen in comparison to left breast. My left breast has now fallen into place looks and feels great, but my right one seems much higher and harder, I also get alot of pain specialy around the areola (were i had insercion) i also have lots of pain around my arm pit & pain also shooting up and down my arm, is this normal or is is it the begining of something more serious???

If you are now 6 weeks post-op and your breast is still swollen and hard, I think you need to consult with your surgeon. It could be nothing other than you are slower to drop and soften on that side. You could have a seroma - sometimes they go away on their own, sometimes they need intervention. Pains are pretty normal - this is usually your nerves regenerating. They will often feel like sharp shooting pains that come and go, without warning.

Hi ther Ivy

I have spoken to Dr and he said he believes this is normal to be still slightly swollen, has advised to take anti-inflammatory pills and cream and continue with massages, but i still worry a little bit as looking through the picture gallery on this site.... to me my breast looks more like the pictures on Capsular contracture.
When you talk about seroma and intervention ...what exactly do you mean by that?????

Seromas, when they need attention, are usually aspirated with a needle. It's a fairly simple procedure. 6 weeks post-op is IMO, very early to think you might have CC. You would need to be seen by a doctor to have it diagnosed properly. If you cannot get back to your surgeon you could consult with another PS or even a GP if you are worried.

Fashionknockout will become famous soon enough
I agree with Ivy, your ps is fo far away and he cannot see your breasts to make sure all is normal.
I would try to set up an appointment to see a surgeon near you to put your mind at ease.
You never know how serious your condition could be, so it would be best to be seen by someone.
In my opinion at 6 weeks post-op you should have very minimal swelling on your breast and very little discomfort as well.
Please keep us posted.
