I know, it doesn't seem right at ALL!!! I wish there was something you could do. Maybe you could kind of threaten to make some complaints on her or something-I dunno? It's just not fair! I'm just so very sorry hon!
I have a feeling the my PS might do the same thing to me if that were to happen to me... hopefully I'll never have to find out but I am so paranoid over getting a CC! How many times a day were you massaging? I know I need to keep up the massage more-that's supposed to help guard people from getting them.
Anyway I'm doing ok thank you. Still having some issues-still need to drop, having that weird place at the crease of my right one, and having my left one go out to the side when I put my arms out or up. I hope all these things will fix themselves soon!
And no, I wish that was me. he he... That is Amy Lee. We have similar features (but of course she's MUCH more beautiful) so that's kind of why I chose her-well that and I love her singing!

At that dosage (80mg/day), you need to have your liver enzymes checked. The general dosage for 5-11 years of age is 20mg/day, and for 12years to adult it's 40mg/day. 80mg is twice the dosage, which puts you at a greater risk for liver damage. You should DEFINITELY talk to your GP about keeping a close eye on your liver enzymes.

Grin. Sweets for the sweet, kiddo. Glad to help. I think sharing about complications helps keep this forum real, and also encourages all of us that we too can ask for advice and support if/when we face complications, and get wonderful responses. It's comforting. Keep us posted on your decisions and treatments!

HI Kayoko!
I've been thinking about you the last few days and then I seen this post.
You are in my thoughts and prayers~everything will work out for you. And your husband sounds like such a sweetheart to try and help; you better keep him!

Does anyone know this answer to the following question?? What is the difference between laser treatments and thereapuetuic ultrasound treatements? And is one better than the other??? I've heard of both being used to treat C.C.

Good thoughts coming your way!

Nikki my PS is the one who said at my appt that she would give me a double dose so when i got my prescription at the pharmacy, I was surprised to see that it was the exact same one 20mg twice daily. But having read your post I"m glad---sounds like Accolate is pretty tough on the liver. BTW, the ultrasound machine is coming and we also found a physio nearby so I'm going in for a few treatments.

That's a good question. I've only looked up ultrasound treatments, but not laser. Tonya says she's had laser done. I hope this does the trick b/c I don't mind telling ya---this sux big time! (in the meantime I've printed up your method and following it---my boobies are all beat up and battered but I feel like I'm doing something instead of wallowing in self-pity)

Good for you ~for not wallowing in self-pity! I did that for awhile and it was not a lot of fun! Do you have C.C. in one breast or both of them??? Sorry, I can't remember! When does your ultra-sound machine arrive???

One more thing~ if for awhile, your boobs feel worse or more painful; try not too worry (i know, easier said than done) but I really think that's a stage you go through. Because mine really hurt for awhile before they started feeling soft and normal. Hang in there baby!!!!!!

I went to see my P.S. at the end of July (6 week mark) and things were not good . . . . I went back on Sept. 12 and I got a good report. . . . I remember thinking around Labor Day that they felt better and my husband told me they were softer. . . . . . but like i said before; they got worse for awhile . . . maybe it was the scar tissue breaking up. I know everyone will be different but I think part of my problem was I thought about them all them time and I was driving myself nuts!!!! I wonder if i brought some of the pain on myself??
Thank God for my husband and my daughter . . . . they listened to me even when they probably wanted to run away !

I think when we make a major decision like this later in life, we just want everything to be perfect!

Yeah, even the recommended dosage of 20mg/twice a day can be toxic on the liver, so definitely keep an eye on your liver if you double your dosage to 80mg. Please keep me updated on the ultrasound treatments. I'm interested in that!!

So true! Isn't it strange and wonderful how real our connections are? Maybe it's only strange to us mid-life types who didn't grow up with it!

And, thank you for noticing -- but no, my real name, unlike my screen name, is spelled with a "U" the normal way See my siggy.

Oh hun, I'm so sorry your ps is being that way! Good grief! The least they could do is HELP. *Grrr* I'd definitely say that a second opinion/consult with another PS would be helpful. Hopefully you'll be able to find one that fits in with your hours n' location! *hugs* Sorry there's nothing I can do to help!
