Warning: Explant Pictures

So my first topless pictures on JBI are less than attractive explant photos. I hope newbies can see these images if they'd like to. I think it helps to show that while "explant" is a scary word, the results aren't too traumatic.

The left one is looking a little more sad/droopy than it was pre-op, but not by much. I had some sad looking boobies, that's for sure. Those wrinkles you see are just from the tape. The skin is just as smooth as the non-explanted side.

The incision isn't too bad. That last 1/2" is being left open so it can continue to drain. This was also the hole through which 6" of draining tube was pulled out today. Along with a little part of my soul lol

I'm a newbie, can't see 'em I'm so sorry you had to go through that!! I've been reading all your posts about it and for something that I consider to be really traumatic you seem to be doing pretty good, better than I would anyway. Keep staying strong! Get some rest and try to block that evil devil drain out of your memory lol

Shoot, I tried posting the pictures directly to this thread so everyone could see.

I've changed the album they're in from private to public, maybe that will help members to see them at least.

You are seriously one tough chick... I love that you have such a positive attitude about this all. If I have any complications pop up, I hope to have the same strength and outlook you have had. I look forward to hearing how healing goes and to congratulating you on your new addition soon.

All things considered, you look good. Definitely not ideal - and not trying to downplay how hard this must have been on you. But you will get through this and in the end you will have two beautiful (and healthy) breasts. I admire your positivity and hope you keep that perspective.

Mine looked similar to that after my rupture. I am really sorry that happened to you. I know how hard it is to deal with that. Can you get a new implant soon or do you have to wait 6 months like some other women have said?

Thank you for sharing. I was expecting the explanted breast to look scary, but it isn't at all. It just looks like its waiting to be filled up so it can look like its sister. You are brave and strong and I have admired your strength throughout this process. We all fear having any complications and probably wonder how we would even handle it. You have showed us that its possible to handle it with optimism and grace and I very much appreciate you letting us be there with you.

Adorabletwins is another amazing and strong woman who has been through quite an ordeal with her boobies. Both of you are such an inspiration to me.

Hi BCA2C,

Thank you for sharing it helps so many ladies like myself. Why did you have to explant? I hope you get to have a revision soon, or just as soon as you are ready. Lots of positive thoughts and hugs sent your way!

Thank you for sharing your story. Your positivity during a BA complication will just encourage us to keep positive if we were to be confronted with one. Just curious, did the culture the wound or drainage? Did you spike fevers and such?

Can I ask, was it a saline implant that ruptured and needs to be drained or something else?
