Oh, Leah, I am so sorry to hear this! How frustrating for you. Did your PS say what would happen and how much worse it would get if you waited awhile? Is the bottoming out really noticeable to you and how much does it bother you? If you can keep wearing a bra all the time, maybe you'll be able to hold off long enough to save money and get the re-do and fix at the same time. I thought most surgeons wanted to wait at least 6 months before doing a repair. That way, there is hopefully enough scar tissue built up that there's something to suture the new crease to. If that is the case with your PS, that would give you a few more months to work on the financing. Whatever you decide to do, I wish you the best! You'll get past this bump in the road and move on to enjoy your new boobies. Slinky |

Hi Lea...sorry to hear about your complication. I am surpised that you want to go smaller. IMO, if you are going in to have a repair done, and you also want to go smaller, it would make the most sense to get it all done at the same time. As far as the cost is concerned, I say go ahead and get the results that you really want, and deal with the bill later (financing/credit card/etc).

I'm so sorry you're having such trouble so soon in recovery. I would rather get everything done in one surgery rather than going back again for a third surgery. Hopefully you can find a way to pay over time - I am also suprised you want to go smaller, lots of us want to go larger over time!!! But it is your body, if you don't feel comfortable it's completely understandable to go smaller. Best wishes...

as for redo to go smaller im just unhappy with the size maybe the difference in the two breast`s have a lot got to do with it !! but i have visible rippling on the left and can see/feel edge of implant everywhere on the left boob (could also be because of bottoming out ) i just see a smaller implant have`n less chance of this happening again.. lea..xx..

hiya lea, i just seen your thread now, i'm so sorry you are bottoming out. i know you were concerned over a few things. 1800e is that for the new implants too or just the repair? did he say why it happened because i don't think you went too big for your body. i hope you get this fixed soon. xxx |

Lea I'm sorry, especially that finances are a big concern to you too. I would think having the 2 done together though would be better for your recovery...I hope you find a solution and get it done sooner rather than later. How many cc's did you get this time ?

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your bottoming out. When did you first notice you had a problem? I'm not implying your surgeon is in the wrong, but usually if bottoming out occurs shortly after surgery (you're only 6 weeks post op) it's due to overdissection of the pocket. (surgeon error) http://www.justbreastimplants.com/ri...toming_out.htm Has he said when he would perform another surgery for you? It's important to wait 6 months to a year before having a revision for this, becasue your body needs time to develop enough scar tissue to attach permanent sutures too. That would also give you some time to save some money for the op. I think it would be good to also go smaller (if that's what you're wanting to do) at the same time you have the revision. Does your ps have experience in correcting bottoming out? In the mean time....please be sure to wear a very supportive underwire day and night to help prevent it from getting worse. I have bottomed out on both sides, and have since had a revision to correct it, so I have some knowledge on this, and hope I can be of some help....If you want to ask me any question...please feel free and you can also PM me and I will do my best to help you. take care and wear those bras |

i'm kind of in awe right now as to how your ps has handled things so far. Like him not telling you to wear an underwire all the time...it's very important to do that. I'm glad you had the instinct/knowledge to wear one. Noticing bottoming out so soon after surgery (three weeks) sounds like more his error to me, than anything else, and also the fact that he is willing to do a revision so soon after your original surgery, is throwing up some major red flags. No Way should you have a revision for this so soon! Breast don't look their best bottomed out, but it's not an emergency, and you need time to heal from your first surgery, and time to build up scar tissue. My ps wouldn't touch me until I was a year post op. But i have heard other ps's waiting about 6 months or so...but not 6 weeks. I would research and gather knowledge, and ask him if he's ever repaired bottoming out, and how he would go about doing it. |

i dont wish to slam him for this as i was well aware of the possiblitys of complactions and i think it was just one of thoes thing`s.. he is more than willing to fix the error/problem and im greatfull for that as not all ps`s would .. i still think he is a fine doc and he has/is showing concern for me and the problem.. i think waiting 6 months makes perfect sence body wise but as you know when you looking down on them they are turely are ugly.. i think i will take your advice and wait the 6 months or as close as i can to it to get them fixed or go for a redo. in the hope that i dont have the same problem soon after.. thanks again for your concern and advice lea..xx.. i would be clueless without this forum and all you very supportive ladies thanks
