Book One, Chapter Two

Book One (First breast augmentation) was 20 years ago. It had one long chapter of complications including many CC's, a hematoma, bottoming out...maybe a total of 5 surgerys and as many different implants. I lost count! I stayed bottomed out and semi-deformed looking (from aspirating hematoma) for almost 6 years. Frankly, I was afraid to get back on the ride. I was also 400 miles from the original surgeon but that was a blessing, for sure.
My latest set was 16 years old and I knew I had to at least get my foot in the door of a PS in my area (KY) in case of rupture. I had researched and talked to many gals thoroughly before I made consult appointment with my new PS. I can elaborate more on him later---my hero, thusfar!
He assurred me that I could be made to look "normal" again. Again? I went from my original "banana tits", size A to C's and D's of mishapen mounds of rubber. Twenty years---gone.
I decided to go for it and chapter two is now well under way. The cost was hard to swallow. Revisions are costly because of scar tissue removal and repairing of God-knows-what...
I am now 6 days post-op. Stitches come out tomorrow and hopefully drain tubes. Anyone had drain tubes? Most revisions with scar removal require drainage tubes. Quite a nuisance and most unattractive. I would like to hear any info anyone can share with me about these nifty little grenades hanging by my sides.
My surgery included removal and replacement, capsulectomy bilateral and mastopexy. I need words of encouragement here.
Happy to be on board!

Welcome to the forum, Sally!

It sounds like you have really been through a lot over the years. Let us know how your post-op appointment goes. What size implants did you get this time? What size are you hoping for? Saline or silicone, over or under?

Thanks for warm welcome

Thanks for the many welcomes and support.
I posted in General Discussion room earlier re post-op appointment. It went well but with considerable discomfort. Drainage tubes removed, lots of tape and stitches both under (crease) and around each nipple. I was shown massage technique. Did okay in the office but when I tried it at home I caused an area in crease to open a tad-bit and some blood ran out. Typical? I just applied some steri-strips and continued. Hey, a drop of blood is many times better than CC !
I'm not familiar around this site enough to have learned how to do the signatures, add the "pretty little things"....I'll have to answer questions plain and simple for now;
This time around I went with Mentor silicone textured. PS talked about sizes from 350-400. I told him it was his call. Either choice keeps me in the 32D-DD range I'm use to.
Just curious, but are than any other members, guests...past the 40-50 mark?

Yes deary, I too loved those grenades, squeezing them, writing down how much was in there...I wore an old outfit that had pockets to hold the damn things up so I didnt have to use the paper clips. Maybe its just us, the ones that got them a long time ago,(23 years ago for me), that have the most problems. Maybe the doctors weren't as qualified as they are now. All the CC problems were the worst. Read my story under the complication area, maybe it will make you feel better
