Higher cc's....lead to capsular contracture?

So I was curious this would of been a good question to ask my surgeon but caught up in all the excitedness of my boobs I didn't. I went from a full b ( deflated from weight loss when I was younger) and put in 750 cc's for my first time. My surgeon didn't have any worries and helped me pick the size. I was wondering if because I went large the first time around could that possibly lead to higher risk of capsular contracture? My ps has you do vigorous massage for 6 months, which I started today on my fifth day out from surgery. Would anyone know this?

Ok, still not totally unproven, but this is what i got out of CC...
It sometiimes occurs when bacteria is introduced during surg.Too much touching of the implant
It can be caused by a lowgrade infection somewhere in your body.
It can be caused by trauma or hematoma. At any time like an accident.
And they really are not sure why some get it and some don't..
This is what i have read, but the total cause is unknown..
Hope this helps..

I knew about most of that, my surgeon was very careful about the bacteria so he had me on high doses of antibiotic. Which he has everyone do..I was just thinking and getting paranoid I guess haha.

You're not the only one, i honestly think that's my biggest fear .. well besides having crooked boob. but the C_C is evil, and i really do not want it. I have pierced nipples, and one of them is kind of sore right now... and my surgery is in 3 days.... so i'm hopeing *fingers crossed* that it won't affect the situation. I have mega doses of antibiotic so it should be okay... but ... it's unfortunately,, 'the luck of the draw' it seems like.

I wish we knew!

I don't know if you PS mentioned this but consider asking for antibiotics asap if you have a toothache or dental work done, an infection could cause problems...

Of course my dentist just told me that a high percentage of root canals have a constant infection in them, not so cool... Don't know what the numbers are, but I'm having one redone Thursday *shudder*, and am on antibiotics (Cipro) and Singulair (prescribed by PS) to prevent CC. She was also OK with me taking vitamin E, preventively.

Warmly,
Bloom

The most common cause of CC is due to the particular immunity factors in the patient. Some women experience an over-reactive rejection of the foreign object. Kind of like, some women get really bad "morning sickness" while preggo and others not at all. Just luck of the draw. This would have nothing to do with how many cc's you got, so fear not.
