![]() | Anyone get implant dropped then it rode up again?
Anyone have an implant that refused to drop, had surgery to then end up with that implant riding up again? I had my original breast augmentation Jan 29 and my left implant did not drop into the pocket resulting in a deformed looking lower pole and hump on top of that breast. Ughh. Well I've recently had surgery to fix that pocket and exchange of profile style of implants. Usually my PS doesn't instruct his pt's to massage or wear the strap. When I woke from surgery I had a strap on and was instructed to wear it as long as I could stand it. Since both my breasts are exactly where I think they should be when I got out of surgery I hardly wore the strap my first week. Today I went to my PS for my 1wk post and he said he put 3 internal sutures above my left implant to prevent it from riding up again. He also wants me to wear my band for 23hrs/day for 1 month. When I asked him if I really needed to wear the strap he strongly encouraged it. He said because my body is used to having an implant up high it will want to do what it knows therefore might want to push that implant up. He said since my pec muscles are so tight and because the sutures are dissolving he said there's a good they could pop out. So now I'm freaking out! Anyone have their pocket dropped, how was your recovery/instructions and did it work? |

mmmm sorry to hear. I know I sure hate wearing the band!! I have no idea as i'm on day 10 of first (hopefully only one for a while!) breast augmentation...but I'm curious to know the answers of others who do know. My righty is up higher and although it seems to be dropping a bit, it is something that worries me...
