![]() | 4 weeks and CC?
how soon after breast augmentation does CC usually start?? i'm 4 weeks post op...and i dont think that my breasts are that soft yet. and on my left side, it seems more firm. sometimes i'm thinking that i'm just feeling my muscle...not sure if thats possible...but thats what it feels like at time. i guess i dont have anyone to compare it too..so i dont really know. but i thought that by 4 weeks, it should be relatively soft. i'm suppose to massage 7 times a day for 7 minutes each time...and maybe its because i'm not doing that?? i am massaging...but its like 3 times a day..7 minutes each time..and through out the day, i do massage through my clothes when i can. i cant really take breaks at work for 7 minutes throughout the day to do massages... but when i try to squeeze my implants, my fingers dont touch. i'm suppose to be squeezing from the bottom, and push up...but i'm scared that imma mess up something sometimes, and cause bottoming out. i'm just so scared of ANY complications! i dont see the doctor again until august. so thats like 5 weeks away. is this something that i MIGHT need to make an appt to go in and see him? or maybe i'm just worrying over nothing? anyone have any thoughts i would love to hear them! ease my mind a little ladies!! thanks! |

I've found that the best way to ease my own mind is to do everything exactly how my ps told me to whenever I can. I know it might not be possible to massage 7x per day especially if you're at work but try to do it as much as possible. I was supposed to massage 3x per day and on the days when I missed one I felt crazy paranoid that something bad would happen. I know it wasn't really a big deal but doing everything by the book always gave me more peace of mind. I also had to do the massage where I pinched the implant from the bottom and pushed it up and it didn't cause any problems. As for your breasts being hard, mine didn't soften up until week 5-6 after my first breast augmentation. BEfore that they were pretty firm and they wouldn't move around on my chest. They were like two little rocks. It was because both the skin and the muscle were still really tight. So try not to fret. Everyone is different but I would say that its probably pretty normal to still be firm at 4 weeks. HTH

Mine were done at the end of May. The PS told me to do 10 repetitions of the exercises for 3 x a day. Some of the exercises are optional - It all depends on your own structure and how you look after the surgery. It seems the most important to do is the one that causes the implant to rise up the chest wall. I've checked other doctor's websites, too. Pretty much all are in agreement to do them 3 or 4 times a day until your doctor gives you the okay to stop or cut back. I try sticking to that, but like you, if I'm at work or school, I just can't get in enough time to do them all. I'm very slightly firmer on my right side. It is my dominant side and it also has 40 cc more filling. I know that the side you prefer (the side you write w/) is usually more muscular, but in my case I think (??) the extra filling might also have something do with the firmness. You probably can't expect both sides to be identical in appearance or feeling, but they should be pretty close. Maybe you should call your doctor. Mine has me visit A LOT (he scheduled 3 w/ me in the first 4 weeks post-op and I went in on my own 2 other times w/ questions or concerns) and many have an open-door policy. You shouldn't feel like you have to wait til August. It's a long way off! Also, try running a search for plastic surgeons. Check out their sites to see what kind of massages/exercises they suggest. Good luck! :-)
