CC at 9 months Post Op

I am now 9 months post op and have developed CC. I woke up the other morning to my righty feeling tight and painful. Its about 1" higher than the left and my nip is pointing down. It almost looks like it did right after I had surgery! I see my ps next week! Has anyone else developed CC this late post op? And if so..was there anything they could do for it? I don't have the funds as I am going through a divorce and am afraid if this requires surgery..I'm going to be stuck with it like this!

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this! I developed CC with my last implants at about 2 years, so like they say, you can get it at any time even when you think you are past the "first year" danger point.

I just got a redo in June (four years after original implants), so basically lived with the CC for 2 additional years. The development was rather slow and I felt I could live with it until I could really afford to replace. It was painful, but not always. I also didn't realize I had it initially, so did not try any accolade or other ways to counter the progression. I think (and hope personally in case mine comes back) there are a lot of things you can try...but mine was too far down the road by the time I figured it out.

Good luck sweetie and keep us posted. It sucks to get these complications I know...

I am sure you will get responses from the women here, many who have also dealt with this.

I am so sorry I developed CC in my right at only 5 weeks post op and am now fighting it and hoping to not have surgery. Is there anyway you could go to your PS or just get a free consult for advice? I am on vit E 800 once a day and singular and agressive massage and laying my stomach for compression which was soooo painful at first. My PS also did a ultrasound that week and I get another one this upcoming friday

Sorry to hear you are going through this! Try to stay calm until you talk to your PS. Maybe it's something else or treatable without surgery. Please keep us updated! Good Luck.

I am sure you will get responses from the women here, many who have also dealt with this.

I waited almost 5 years to have a redo and a capsulectomy. YES, there is discomfort, but not to the extent hat you can't live with it. Hold off, get your finances together, and then take care of the CC.

Hi Ginger,

CC can occur anytime, even years down the road. Try not to concern yourself with it till you see your surgeon. It may not be cc or it may be early enough to fix w/o surgery.

Call your PS--mine said that CC surgery is free if it happens within 15 months or so after a breast augmentation (except for anesthesiologist's fee). But it's possible that other treatments will help. {{Hugs}} You don't need any more stress, hun.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are going through a divorce. I'm even more sad that you may have CC. I would start compressing that baby. Hopefully you won't need surgery. Have you started taking Vit E. I would start everything I know that treats CC. Hopefully you caught the symptoms early.

Oh no Ginger...I'm really sorry you're going through all of this!

I remember when you first got your breast augmentation. Please talk to your PS. If you do have CC , I'm sure your PS can work out the price issue with you. And, don't worry quite yet. What other symptoms do you have?

I'm so sorry Ginger. Both about your marriage and CC.

You know, my right still hasn't completely dropped, and this week I noticed that it's starting to look like it's pointing down, but it's not hard at all. I'm pretty confused. My next appointment is in 3 weeks, but I'm tempted to go in sooner.

When do you see your PS again?

Ginger, I am really sad for you for both the divorce and boob problems. I remember when I first joined the forum you had just gotten your breast augmentation and I looked to you for a lot of advice and to see how things would be after my breast augmentation. At my 6 month PO my PS said I should be safe from any complications--I didn't realize that CC could happen at any time!

Hi Ladies..Thank you so much for your responses. I love the support here and its so good to see many familiar faces!!! I see my ps in the morning. I am doing TONS of compressions and massage but the right seems to be getting higher and higher.Its almost as high as it was the day I got them done! I can feel "tightness" in the entire boob too as well as its pretty tender! My nip is also much lower then the left one which to me looks fantastic!

I'll take a picture tomorrow before i go so you can all see what im talking about! Wish me luck..I'll update when i get home!

CC occured after breast feeding after having mine for 9 years. So It can happen at any time. Right now Im doing compression and many other things to handle cc. I have days when it is soft and it becomes firm again.

He DID confirm that I have CC in the right side and said I even have a grade II in the left! Even though I feel no issues with it! He compressed them and gave me some things to do at home! The right is so painful that it hurts like holy heck to do anything with it! I'm taking Vit E and compressing it against the door and on the floor several times per day. He doesnt seem to optimistic that I can "fix" this and feels I will have to have them redone at some point! The sooner the better according to him! This SUCKS! I am broke and chances are I will have to live with this! Why me? All I wanted was to have boobs for once in my life!

I am more that frustrated and sad!

Do not give up girl I had grade 3 in my right at 5 weeks and am now grade 2 so improvement can happen

It hurt so bad when I started to be really aggressive with my right and laying on it was really painful but now its almost pain free. Keep your hands on those girls as much as poosible and I do mean all the time when you can there is a great post here in the complications posted a while back if you go thru old threads on cc on how to beat it without surgery posted by kimberly and it has more tips. Right now I am also using a LED light therapy recommended to me from a girl who had it in australia and she felt this helped and my ps thought it could not hurt me so I added this to my cc fight regimen I am on singular as well did you ps prescibe you this?
