avoiding bottoming out

hey girls
i have to travel to have my breast augmentation and my original consult was via email with my PS. AS im having a larger implant 650cc he said my biggest risk would be bottoming out. Is there anything that can be done to reduce that risk. like style of implant, placement etc. thanks

Well first I would ask PS what steps will he be taking to insure you won't bottom out. IE internal bra?? How many of his patients have bottomed out would be my next or a percentage of. Maybe he is over dissecting pockets?? Make sure you look at this doctors pics closely and can you check on his/her credentials?? Those would be my concerns...
Good luck doll!!

How far away do you have too travel? What if you have complications? Will he coordinate with your personal physician???

hi im from australia and its a plane ride of 4 hours so a fair distance.i believe he is a good PS he is just pointing out the risks associated with large implants. i didnt really ask what steps he took to reduce the risks . i guess im just wondering if there are ways to avoid bottoming out.

Bottoming out can be caused from not enough support.. Wearing a bra is necessary to prevent this. However I have been on consults and the PS said he does not want his girls wearing any bras for 6 months after surgery. He has a special technique that all his girls have to do is wear shelf camis.. IDK?? Each PS is sooo different. Pop this PS an email and ask him if he is planning on any procedure to prevent you from bottoming out. Maybe he will elaborate a bit if he has a special internal bra procedure or such.

GL..

Have you decided who in Sydney you're going to use yet?

I often wonder if a woman's own tissue integrity has something to do with bottoming out also? As in, are some of it more prone to it because we have "stretchier" tissue (for want of a better word!). Seems some women go to the best surgeons, wear support 24/7 after their breast augmentation and still bottom out...sometimes more than once.

hey ive had an email consult with norris but when i go to sydney at the end of the year im having consults with rastogi and tavakoli. r u from sydney? if uv heard anything bad bout these PS pls pm and let me know. i noticed u got 500 thats fairly large (for aussie surgeons haha) did u have an issue getting that size. yep im bit concerned bout the tissue condition as i breastfed and one of my breast has stretched . Not enough for a lift but still significant.

Agree it is a fine line sometimes it is your own tissues intergerity and maybe overdisection of the lower portion of the pocket.. I have both lateral diplacement and bottoming out and I have 450cc not overly huge..My PS says it is rare and himself has onlt seen it like 2 times??? I didn't ask if he has had a patient bottom out more than twice I guess I am the first? I doubt though.. ohh well now the hunt for the perfecgt fix :0

Tavakoli

Hello,

I had my breast augmentation with Dr Tavakoli last monday the 19th october, and i have not one bad word to say about him or his staff during the entire experience.

I am 5"1' and 58kg and He chose for me 465cc smooth round implants.

I was freaked out about the size because of the number 465, but honestly, i am so glad i went with his recommendation. i told him i wanted a d cup, and he chose the right implant for me to acheive those results.

at all appointments and on the day of surgery he was more than comforting and pleasant ( ive heard some surgeons can be quite obnoxious??) but i felt comfortable the whole time. i can highly recommend him without any hesitation.

I'm thinking you might end up bigger than a D with 465s on that tiny little frame of yours I got 470 & 500, am 5 foot 10 and 67 kilos (with a wide back) and am busting out of a D, sometimes a DD.

Glad you had a good experience.

Yes i am definately going to be a very full d cup and most likely some bras a dd, but my body is so much more balanced now, i love it, i am quite broad and hippy.... I am looking forward to getting the final result, i know at just 10 days out, things are definately going to keep changing for a while yet! ... just gotta be patient

Hi Jadecat, how did your consults go in Sydney? Have you decided on a surgeon yet?
