![]() | Inframmary fold reconstruction
Hi Girls, I haven't posted in a while, I've given myself a break from the internet boob research for my mental sanity! Anywhoo, Just came back from my visit with my PS, I need to get my righty fixed. He didn't say it was "bottoming out" but according to my quote I need a "right inframmary fold reconstruction". Anywhoo, he told me the recovery time would be very different from my first breast augmentation. He made it sound like I can go back to work a few days later without issues. Of course, now that I have driven away from his office I have a million and one questions to ask! For the ladies who have had this type of surgery, can you tell me if traveling a week after surgery is a poor idea?? I want to get it done as soon as I can and the only week that I have available will be the week before I fly to Texas for a football game. Do you think this is "doable" ? I will ask my PS for sure but I wanted to get your opinions on this. He told me I could go back to work a few days after the surgery so I'm under the impression this surgery wont be too bad. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance!! |

![]() | Id say doable, but it all depends on your pain tolerance. I had some crease work done on both breasts with my redo and i didnt have any significant pain. More discomfort than anything. Good luck!

Well, I didn't have the same complication, but I had to have a revision only a month after my first breast augmentation and it has been MUCH easier and a much less painful recovery than the first time around. I have read from many women who state their revisions were much easier, but it varies from person to person I'm sure. I hope everything goes well and you're back on your feet quickly. Good Luck!! |

Thank you for your response, ughh! I'm so scared about this 2nd time around! Wondering how out of commission will I be KWIM? Will I be able to use my right arm at all?! Calling all bottoming out girls, how active were you days after surgery? bed ridden? when did you start doing your daily activities? |

![]() | Repair to inframmary fold.
I had my revision surgery on Friday, Oct. 16. The doctor never told me that I bottomed out either, but that I was having my inframmary (sp) fold repaired. However, I looked exactly like the bottoming out photos that I have seen. I didn't go to work yesterday but I certainly could have. I find there is not much pain, only a little discomfort if I try to walk fast. I am not suppose to lift my right arm over my head, but I forgot a couple of times and quickly pulled it back down. This is my 4th day since the surgery and I have not taken any pain meds since Sunday. The hardest part for me is sleeping on my back....my back aches so bad! I would plan on the trip. Hope this helps a little. |

I think your pain level will probably be OK to go to Texas, but I would be very careful with your moving around and putting your arm over your head, and basically using your arm like normal. Because you are not in too much pain, you may think it really is OK to get back to your 'normal routine'. But I think you really have to let the stitches heal first before you do! Or you might get the bottoming out again. Just my opinion and suggestion.
