Well, I definitely have these - 2 or 3 under each breast. I noticed them a couple of days ago when I was checking out my scars to see how they were healing. I was VERY concerned about it until I did a bit of research and found that they are fairly common. At first, I thought they had something to do with my stitches. I am 3 weeks post op, and this seems to be the last hurdle in the recovery process. A little pain, but mostly annoying. It's really noticeable when reaching/stretching and when I do my massaging. Glad to hear they are temporary! I posted pics of these new, unwanted friends.

I just found your thread while searching out these "cords".... I think I have one but it doesn't go vertical per say.... it sorta runs horizontal from the inner or "corner" part of my breast to the breast bone.... I have only just been able to feel it, not see it yet. I'm taking my 3 week post op pics tonight and will see if I can actually see them.... Were they painful?

They aren't painful when I'm just doing normal stuff. I only feel them when I reach for something (like high up on a shelf). They feel a ittle freaky when I touch them, like very tightly stretched rubber bands. I hope they go away soon.
