![]() | Normal Pain or Split Incision?
Hi ladies, I don't want to worry so I thought I would ask your opinion before my first week post op appointment this Thursday. A little background: My right breast I had a Benelli lift, and my left breast I had a crease incision. My implant is higher on my left breast, no big deal there at all, and virtually no pain. While my right breast is a different story, of course since I had a much more intense surgery compared to the left, I know that a little more pain is completely normal, but I'm unsure where the line is drawn at 'a little'. I have INTENSE pain in my Benelli incision especially during movement. Also, at the spots where I am numb I noticed today that my skin has a slight red discoloration. My first thought was that I had split a few stitches at my incision, but since it's completely covered in surgical tape I can't check to make sure. I had bled a lot after surgery, and my tape is throughly hardened with dry blood, but it hasn't continued to noticeably bleed. Opinions? Thanks!

hey there. first off congrats on your new boobies! ![]() i also had a benelli and i can tell you that my incisions were SO sensitive for weeks. i couldnt wear a bra, couldnt let any fabric touch them and i got shooting pains. i wouldnt say it was super intense but i was definitely uncomfortable. sometimes the area around incision would look a little raw and red but eventually it passed. i doubt you "split" your stitches but your app is coming up and i'm sure your ps will put your mind at ease

I wouldnt be to worried. I also had a Benelli and had all the dried blood etc. Ive noticed that anywhere that Im still numb the coloring is a bit different. Also, I did split a couple of stiches on the outside incision and it was not a biggie. The surgeon just taped it back together. I have washed with antibacterial soap every since my surgery so there was no infection although my skin is a bit raw due to the tape. Just keep it clean. You can always call your PS..thats why he gets paid the big bucks!!
