My journey began yesterday, May 10th. I had to be at the surgery center @ 8am for my 9:30 surgery. My fiancee, mom and grandma were there with me. My only trouble that day came early when the girl tried to put the IV in my left arm. I have no problems looking at needles it's just the feeling of them that make me feel faint. And boy did I. She couldn't get it in the vein and was poking around. I started to sweat and get tingly all over. I told her I thought I was gonna pass out. Just then the anesthesiologist came over and was trying to talk to me about the surgery. I couldn't really hear him. They reclined me and had to give me smelling salts to bring me to. My mom later found this story to be quite humorous. Anyway, she tried again in my hand and got it in the second time thank god. No passing out. When my color returned they invited my family back for a little bit until it was go time.

I walked to the OR and sat on the table where my PS marked me up. They laid me down and covered me with warm blankets; positioned my arms out to the sides like airplane wings. Then the oxygen mask came over my face, I felt the good stuff travelling up my arm and then I was out. The next thing I remember was them trying to wake me up and they were putting the surgical bra on. Then I was in recovery where my family joined me. I remember getting antsy and hot wanting the BP cuff, pulse ox monitor, leg compressions off. They gave me a pill and I was outta there by 12:30 I think.

I was in and out of sleep for the rest of the day. I was able to make myself a sandwich which I thought was impressive. My PS gave me percocet which I have been taking sparingly cause they make me dizzy. I took a percocet and went to bed at midnight propped up on three pillows. I woke up several times during the night but was able to fall right back asleep. The hardest thing was trying to scoot back up on the pillows, nearly impossible.

The next morning (today) I had my post op appt. My PS said I am doing better on POD #1 than any patient he's had! He was surprised at how well I was moving. My swelling is minimal. No bruising. FYI: I am following the Vita Medica Healing Supplements program. I have to keep wearing the surgical bra till I see him again on Wednesday. I can shower whoo hoo! Today, I was able to do some light errands with my fiancee after my appt. We went to Applebee's for lunch and then to Walmart. Washed a few dishes too. After all that I needed to hit the couch for three hours. My fiancee has been taking good care of me.

I ended up with Inamed Silicone unders. 375cc high profile Style 20 on the left and 300cc moderate profile Style 10 on the right. Overall, I feel tight across the top of my boobs and sore along the sides under my armpits. A little numb. My PS showed me how to massage/do displacement already cause I tolerated it fine when he did it in the office. Leftie is a bit more firm since it has more stretching to do. Thanks for letting me share my long story. I can't wait to see the final outcome!

Welcome to boobieville!!! You should take it easy, you are gonna feel wiped out if you do too much. You don't want the healing process to take longer than it needs to. In a few months, you are gonna love them if you don't already. Take care. Soft hugs.
