I am soooooooo excited!!!

I finally got my BOOBS!!

I went in at 7am on Wednesday morning to Dr. Marcadis in South Tampa, FL. Dr. Marcadis is (JCAHO) accredited which means he has has been approved to operate in his facility and has to live up to the same standards as if it were an actual hospital. I was so excited I didn't sleep all night and I got there a half hour early! They put the IV in me, took my glasses off and led me into the operating room. The anesthesiologist told me I would feel like I had a nice glass of wine in a few minutes and sure enough, less than that, I was out cold! The next thing I knew I woke up in the operating room. The first question I ask in a barely audible tone was: "How many CC's" to which the nurse replied 450!! I was so happy because this is what I really wanted and I knew Dr. Marcadis was going to give me what I wanted. I brought in 3 pictures off the internet that I liked as far as the after effects.

So any ways, after the surgery I was OUT OF IT! I went into the recovery room and waited for my friend to pick me up. I was in pain but it wasn't so bad that I couldnt take it. I was expecting much worse. They finally gave me some Darvocet which took a few hours to kick in. My friend drove me home, which was only a half mile from the office. I got all set up and pretty much have been just slepping on my couch for the last 3 days. It has actually been really nice to lay here and relax. Have had a few visitors and I have even made it out of the house a few times as well. As far as recovery, it has gone so well. I feel so lucky and blessed

to have had the experience that I did. I feel sore but I am not in "pain". The worst thing that happened to me was when I was laying on my couch and my mom and my friend was here and my 10lb Yorkie that was laying on the couch next to me decided that he wanted to move to the other couch and used my chest as a spring board to get there. I screamed probably louder than I ever have and scared the crap out of my dog, my mom and my friend. WOW THAT HURT!!!

This morning was my first post-op and they said they look great and I look like I am healing really well and there is a lot of swelling but that is normal. The nurse showed me how to do the massage exercises and she killed me when she was really getting aggressive and squashing them together. I was like "OK I GET THE POINT"!! lol Then Dr. M came in looked at them for all of 5 seconds and said "You look great!" then left! Which was fine.

Well that is my story and I am here sitting on the couch enjoying my time off and peeking at my chest every now and then. It doesn't feel completely real yet. They are pretty high up there so I am anxious to get to the drop and fluff stage. Hopefully I will be a 34D like I wanted to be.

Well that is all for now and if anyone lives in Tampa or surrounding areas I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Marcadis. Everyone was wonderful and I am very happy so far!!
