My Story- Yes I am perky!

Well, yesterday was the big day. And I can honestly say that it was one of the harder days I have had to go through- I swear if it wasn't for hubby!!!!

Here goes. . .So my appointment was at 8:45am. I wasn't really hungry in the morning, so the lack of food wasn't bothering me. Minor traffic, so we get there right on time. After filling out a couple of more consent forms (BTW my PS has his own surgery center, so I wasn't in the hospital), I went into the room to get dressed in the lovely pink paper thong with matching pink shirt. I had a visit from the nurses as well as the Nurse anesthisist (SP?) to make sure we were all on the same page. My PS came in and we discussed everything as well. And I have to tell you, I am so thankful for everyone on this forum because, if I hadn't had you guys, I probably would have gone too small. So everything was ready to go- I also was having lipo on my thighs but we will get to that later.

They take me into the OR, I lay on the table and I swear I don't remember anything after that. They had just started the drip and I fell immediately asleep- so I didn't even need the mask. Surgery took 4 hours- longer than my PS thought mainly because of the lipo. I am not exactly small, 5'6" and 145, and very muscular, so he was joking with my hubby that he got his workout in for the day.

Now here is the interesting part- I swear I don't even remember going home! I slept most of the way but my hubby said I asked him questions and everything. This was the first time I had ever had anesthesia, I had both of my kids naturally and I have been very lucky injury wise. I was really worried about getting sick but I did not have any after effects. I did tell the doc beforehand that I do tend to get motion sickness and they said they would account for that.

So after we get home, I swear I literally slept for the rest of the day. I napped, the kids came home from school. I had a babysitter so my hubby didn't have to worry about them. When she went home, he had to take them to their open house at school, which I was so bummed I missed. But I slept on and off all day and night. Now here is the interesting part. I was told or at least I assumed that the pain pump was like going to the dentist. You would be numb. But I swear it was not working. My hubby checked it out and it was definitely flowing but the whole process was still very painful. My legs felt as though I had just had the hardest weight lifitng workout of my life. Not what I expected but something I could handle. But I was surpsied about my boobies. They were so much sorer even with the pain pump. I was able to sleep all night which was great so this morning when I woke up it was 100% better.

Now I was thinking that today was going to be the worst day. But for me it was the first day. So if it gets better after this, I am really happy. I have taken a couple of pain meds today, but I hate taking them because they make me feel just really woooooozzzzyyy. I can take the pain pump out on Sunday. And I will be happy to be rid of that. It is just a little annoying.

All in all, I think everything went great. One of the greatest [parts is looking down and seeing perky boobies! I had very severe sagging (we are talking I could hold a book there, and believe it or not, he lifter the nipple about 3 inches) and now they are full and at attention!! I had saline HP under the mucle, but I don't know the size yet. I am going to take a look at them tonight though!

Also in case anyone is considering lipo at the same time. It is worth it to get it over with. Yesterday, I had thought to myself that I would never do that again, cuz it did hurt so much, but today is tons better so I wouldn't hesitate doing it again. He did get a lot too 1435cc in one leg and 1500cc in the other. So I can't wait till the swelling goes down there.

Best of all though I have to say was my husband. He was more supportive and helpful than I could have asked for. He did everything for me, made sure I had everything I needed, the kids etc. I am just so happy!! I will keep you posted

And hopefully I can take some pics sometime soon.
