I am back from the other side, I was a girl made for breast implants with my stats (150 p. 5ft. 6. 31 RC 34-36 B) and post breast-feeding boobies! My mom always said I'd get boobs when I had kids, well I had two and yes I had boobs while breast feeding but with a 5 and 3 year old my boobs were back to the size they were when I was 15 only less perky!!!
My PS came highly recommended with a great local reputation for natural results, he doesn't even have a website but he is an older PS who says that you should be known for your reputation not your marketing abilities. He actually turns down girls who want over 700 cc's most of the time b/c he wants to maintian his reputation for natural results (no offense to the ladies with larger boobs!!) Also he is board certified and his work looked incredible! I had some trepidation about the size as my PS said he's use his discretion as to whether to go with the 325's of 350's. I did not want to be too big, but thanks to you ladies, I also knew that more commonly women felt they were too small. So I urged him to use the 350's o/f as much as possible. Surgery day- Woke up at 5:30, showered, DH drove me to the surgery center. At 7 a.m. they checked me in and took me back to the triage area. This area was surprisingly public with a mere curtain between myself and the next client. But we had saved a bit by going with a surgery center so it was ok. The first nurse was awesome, she said she had to chose b/twn a tummy tuck and BA due to finances and chose the TT but wanted a BA too. My husband told her I wanted to be sure the PS went bigger but didn't want to offend him but she said "You MUST make yourself very clear!" She got me into my gown, I was completely naked (except slip-proof socks) and it was open to the back. My PS came in to draw on me. We were all very quiet so he could concentrate. I reiterated my size preference. After he left the nurse told me he is eccentric but meticulous. Some surgeons take just a little over an hour and he is usually in surgery for up to 4 hrs. I got some pre-pain meds and IV, met the anesthesiologist who was very chipper and was then wheeled off to the surgery room. They transfered me to the operating table and the anesthesiologist said something to me, put the meds in my IV and the next thing I remember is the nurses waking me up. I was hoping to hear some absurd thing I'd said to them during the surgery but no such luck , I was completely out and do not recall a thing! As they were waking me up I had a pretty severe asthma attack and was given a breathing treatment which really helped. The first thing I noticed was that I could not talk, it was very painful and my voice was low and scratchy. I had a very hard time communicating with the nurses. I think I heard one say "I got a smile out of the blonde" (me) but I'm not sure. As I was in the recovery room the last nurse said she'd had her boobs done too but I can't remember why she told me that, maybe something about recovery. My husband was nowhere to be found when it was time to leave and then he appeared with a nice warm Starbucks mocha (I'm a coffee addict) which was better than a dozen roses even if I could only manage a few sips. My husband informed that I was in surgery for about 4 hrs. and the PS told him he'd used 350's o/f to 420! So I am hoping the results are just right (large c, very small d)! They wheeled me out to the car and we made the 45 min. drive home. Yes I felt every bump as he drives a standard but mostly my throat was the worst thing. When we got home my angelic sister had cleaned the whole house and stayed two days to help care for my 5 and 3 yr. old girls! She was priceless, even with my helpful husband I'm not sure how we would have made it w/o her! Recovery- The first two days I was soo thirsty and it seemed like there was not enough water to quench my thirst. My throat continued to hurt and I thought I was getting strep until I talked to my mom who is an LVN and she said that maybe they'd given me a tracheotomy and I found out later they had given me some type of trach (not a full trach) which put my mind at ease about the strep. Also I had a lot coughing due to the asthma which still hurts every single time, I would recommend that if you have asthma you have a breathing treatment or two on hand for recovery. It's Day 3 my throat still hurts pretty bad but its healing. I have gained 10 pounds although it is bloating and the fact that I haven't been able to have a BM for 5 days. Also the boobs weigh a little extra. The PS DID clear me for the dinner party the next night after surgery (last night) mostly b/c I just sat there in a chair and it was only 2 min. from my house. Finding something to wear was a challenge as I could not wear anything pull over.. I went to Dress Barn and am normally a size 6 (at Dress Barn) but had to put on up to size 12 b/c of my swollen chest. I also usually wear a 34 band (which is a little tight) but the sports bra my PS fitted me in is a size 38! BTW he removed the wrap and put on the sports bra the day after surgery which seemed pretty quick to me. He will take the stitches out on Monday (I think) After the dinner party and into the night last night I had some pretty severe pain but doubled up (with permission) on my Hydrocodone. My boobs are not very pretty with the swelling but I am already excited about the way the extra bulk balances my body. The thing I anticipate most is getting to go shopping (after drop and fluff) and the whole new world of clothing that awaits me! Side effects I most underprepared for: The severe throat pain from the Trach-thing Constipation/bloating Blurry Vision (after surgery until the next day after)-I couldn't even read a magazine Extreme Hunger- I wanted to eat like a horse but couldn't put that much down Best side-effects: Getting to see how much my husband and sister love me as they patiently attended to all my needs post-op!! Most look forward to: Shopping!!! (I know I already said that) and ...being able to hug and hold my 3 and 5 year old girls again!! Ok I don't have a sig. yet but here's the stats: 30 y/o 150 p. 31 rc 34-36 b (pre-ba) 5ft 6 in Implants: mod profile saline unders/crease 350 o/f 420 each breast hoping for 34-36 full c small d! one more thing..
I am trying at the risk of boring everyone to be very thorough so others know what to expect..one additional unexpected side-effect was the inability to urinate for the day of and some of the day after surgery.
I needed to go but I think the meds. were making it hard. Thanks ladies for the congrats and amberj a special congrats. to you as well! |

Happy Healing and thanks for the details!
I definitely appreciate the added details on the pain, side effects etc. I just started taking my doctor prescribed vitamin K meds (Mephyton) and am anxious to have surgery already! (but not anxious for the pain!) |

Thanks for sharing your story with us! I had nothing exciting to tell from the affects of anesthesia as well. I hope you have continued happy healing and don't worry, soon enough the girls will change shape and you will fall in love with them
