My story - BA 12/19

Tuesday night I had to use that awful surgical soap and then I used it again the morning of surgery. My surgery was at 10:00am so my friend picked me up at 8am so we could be at the surgical center by 8:30am. Shortly after I arrived, they called me up to pay and sign a few papers - turns out my ex husband's sister works there and she was the one that called me up!!! That was a little awkward but she was very nice. She said my doctor was wonderful and that the 2 nurses that would be with me were the same two she hand-picked to be with her during a surgery so that made me feel better. So I took care of paying and the paperwork and sat back down. Then they called me back for pregnancy test, blood work, and to change into my little robe and cute socks. I had been really worried about the IV - I'm so scared of needles. I told the nurse this and she numbed it first and it really wasn't bad at all. Then the anesthesiologist came in and went over things w/ me - I told him I was worried about being nauseous so he added soemthing to my IV for that. Then my friend was able to come back. We sat and talked and made a last minute phone call to my best friend (her sister) who lives an hour away so wasn't able to come for surgery. Then my PS came in and marked on me. My surgery was supposed to start at 10:00 but they were running a little late and didn't wheel me back until about 10:20. I remember moving to the table and that's it. Next thing I knew it was 11:30 and I was asking the nurse what size he used - she said 375!! She said the first thing I did when I woke up was smile and say "I've got boobies"! She brought me coffee and water and then shortly after helped me get dressed and we left about 12:15. I was starving so we stopped at Taco Bell on the way home! That was the best food I've ever had

When we got back to my house, I laid down but wasn't tired so I got up and hung out w/ my friend. She left around 6pm and I laid down for a bit...I slept for maybe an hour and then woke back up. I was having a real hard time getting comfortable and felt really tight through my chest and back. I ended up putting a heating pad on my back which really helped. I've been trying to ice the girls but I'm wrapped up in a bandage so icing isn't doing a lot. Last night, I had a hard time sleeping and woke up about every 2 hours. So I tried to stretch a little and then go back to sleep.

This morning, I woke up feeling a lot better. I got up and washed my face, put my hair up, made toast and coffee and just moving around has really helped. So far I took my pain meds every 4 hours yesterday but took tylenol last night. I took 2 pain pills when I woke up this morning...I think I'm going to trying taking 1 every 5-6 hours and see how that goes. The tightness is much better today and so far I haven't really had any pain. I get to take off the bandage tomorrow and take a shower - I think that will make me feel a lot better. My post op is Monday.

I've posted before about being single and going through most of this alone. So far, I've done really well. My friend was here for 5 hours after surgery and then I've been on my own. I've done a lot around the house to make things easier and so far, so good!

I really can't tell what the girls look like because of how I'm bandaged. It looks like the left one is higher. I can't wait to see them tomorrow morning!!

Congratulations! Be careful that you don't overdo it since you are alone. Get lots of rest and let things go for a while.

CONGRATS DARLING! And glad you are moving around and getting things done so easily. I'm single too, and I didn't want to burden my friend and make her stay with me (though she offered, of course), so I was alone for my healing. But it was totally fine....and I actually didn't even want anyone around!

Congrats peggy - glad you are feeling good! IDK how you were fine to go to Taco Bell on the way back - I stayed overnight in hospital and still was shaky this morning! Happy healing boobie sista!

Congratulations! It sure sounds like everything is going very well for you! I'm hopeful that I'll have a similar experience.

I am anxious to hear how your size turns out after they settle a bit. Our stats are very similar. I haven't decided on a size yet...I have been thinking no more than 300cc because I don't want to go too large, but we'll see. I keep reading about boobie greed so I guess I have to work through that. If you're up for posting pics later on, I'd love to see how you look!!

Hey girl, I'm glad the surery went well for you and please do be careful since you are alone. It's easy to overdo it so take it easy as much as possible.

AWWW YEAHHH ~ hehe CONGRATZ on your new boobies ~ sounds like your recovery is going very well .. remember to stay rested though...I heard it's really good to move around but remember your body does need to heal ~ GOOD LUCK through everything and please keep us posted
