My BA Story - Recovery a little worse than I thought

I had my BA on Dec 18th. I slept fine the night before and was ready to get up and at it around 5 AM. I arrived at my ps office around 7 AM - not really nervous at all ! My BF was with me which really helped.

They took me back to the recovery room where I changed into my gown and slipper socks. They took my vitals, put in my IV and gave me a muscle relaxer. Soon after that I went back to the OP room. I think I was in there all of about 3 minutes before I was out. That Anes. nurse is sneaky! haha!

The next thing I know I'm waking up with a bad pain and pressure on my chest. They gave me a percoset right away. My BF saw my chart and told me later that I said I was drooling! haha!! that is just so funny

On the way home I asked sweet BF to stop and get me a decaf latte. That was THE BEST darn latte I've ever had in my life. I dang near sucked in down in one sip

I was home and in bed by noon and slept pretty much all day. I think I may be the opposite of most girls - but my recovery seems to be dragging on and on. I was SOOOO sore. My righty is the one giving me troubles. My ps office assured my that it's normal for the dominate side to be stronger and take longer to loosen up. That gives me hope!

I wasn't prepared for how sore I'd be I guess. Also, I was not prepared for how hard it was going to be to sleep. I'm a tummy sleeper, so this whole back sleeping thing sucks. Hurts my back SO bad
At almost 2 weeks post op I'm just starting to feel better now. Today is my first day back to work. It's going pretty good. I do alot with my arms so I was a little scared.

The good in all of this - they are BEAUTIFUl !! I LOVE them so much. When I look in the mirror I think they look huge, but when I look down at them they don't seem to look that big. Weird.... Boobie greed already!?

I love them though!!

awww I'm sorry to hear your recovery is bothersome but the good thing is you're feeling somewhat better now ~ I hope you continue to feel better

I noticed we are very similar in size.(we've covered this before our BA's I thikn lol)..stats wise...AND implants ...we probably look similar..that will be interesting to see hehe ~ but I know what you mean about looking down and looking somewhat smaller...I don't know what profile you got but if it's HP (like me) I have lots of projection and love the side view ~

GOOD LUCK on everything

YAY ~ isn't it wonderful how BA's can give us so much more confidence about our body so fast after the surgery ?? ~

yeah, i was shocked at how much more difficult recovery was as well, i had it in my mind that it was a breeze b/c I'd had 2 complicated c-sections and did alright then. my b/a recovery was just as difficult. i hope you feel better soon and speaking from 6+ months out, it is worth every bit of frustration and pain, boobyville ROCKS!
