Smile My BA experience 01/04

Well, my bff woke me up at 4:30 in the morning to take my shower. We both got dressed and were driven to the surgery center by her step-mother.

When finally got there, we checked with the receptionist at about 6:00am, signed some papers and were asked to take a seat. So we're sitting there trying to make each other laugh to ease our anxiety and suddenly the nurse comes out and calls my name... I'm like 'oh sh*t'. LOL! So she takes me to the back askes me some questions and then has me sign some more papers. After all that was done, she gave me some clothes to change in and a cup to pee in (for a pregnancy test). I go in the bathroom, change and come out.

Then she lays me on the hospital bed and sets up my i.v. I was introduced to the nurse that was assisting my ps in the surgery, then my ps showed up. He took some before pictures and rediscussed the final size. (Full D, borderline DD).

Then I met the anesthesiologist and had a little discussion and said that he'd be giving me my long awaited 'cocktail'. Before I knew, I was being wheeled off into the OR. The made me transfer onto the OR bed and laid down to relax. They put and oxygen mask of some sort over my nose and mouth and told me to breathe deeply. I took about 3-4 breaths and was 'out like a light'.

I had awaken as I was being wheeled out of the OR and tranferred to the recovery room/bed. My ps said that I was 'all done' and he said that I laughed and said, "ARE YOU SERIOUS"! I barely remember saying that..LOL He thought it was funny though. So in the meantime, I'm in the recovery and all my vitals are being checked and everything is fine (thankfully)..I got a nice shot of demerol... (that was some good stuff) I later get dressed and transferred to a nice recliner where I sat and waited for my bff to come out from her surgery. The whole time I'm sitting there I'm thinking "DAMN... THESE THINGS ARE HUGE"!!! Finally, they wheel my bff out and prepped her for her release and we were outta there. Up until now, we've basically just been kicking back and relaxing at her dad's house. Her stepmom is the greatest as she's been taking great care of us. We'll definitely have to take her to a nice dinner for this.

Considering revision to correct pre-existing asymmetry that wasn't fully addressed at my BA (by lowering left crease). Sometime in late 2009?

Experience

I have had lots of surgeries, knee, c-sections, etc. and the anesthesia part is so familiar...I lol when I read your post...I know I'm going to be the same way. I'll want to poop my pants when I hear my name called!!! How was the pain level afterwards? Is there anything you would have done differently? Mine is on the 17th.
