I got BOOBS!!

Well, ladies, I've been to the world of boobyville and I have seent the light!!

My surgery was yesterday at 7:30am and we arrived at 6:00. I signed couple more forms and took my pregnancy test and then it was my turn to go back. I got changed into my lovely gown, nonslick socks and hat. My pre-op nurse was fabulous. She started my IV (used lidocaine which only burned for a split second so I never felt the IV go in) best IV I've never had. My husband was brought back to stay with me until it was time to go. My anesthesiologist came by and she was very chipper and all excited just be alive.
The came in around 7:25 to take me to surgery. I said goodbye to my husband and then off to the OR. On the way there I started feeling a little groggy and asked if they had give me something. They said just something to make me relax. I slid over to the OR table. I remember them saying make sure you're in the middle of the table and then asking me what I was having done today...I said breast augmentation and then that's it...I was out like a light. I woke up with a mask on my face thinking the anesthesiologist had but it there. I asked if we were about to get started and the nurse laughed and said "sweetie, you've been done for 40 minutes." I was barely able to raise my head but I looked down and sure enough I saw it.....CLEAVAGE!!! LOL
I couldn't belived it. I was only having pain around 5 or 6 but she went ahead and gave me some medicine. I was taken to another post op area where my husband was waiting for me. I stayed there for a while, got my iv out, etc. The nurse came in and said I needed to start sitting up. I tried and got extremely dizzy and nauseous. (I have had 4 prior surgeries and never woke up nauseous.) I tried to lay back down but the nurse was like no you have to sit up. I made it up and turned with my feet dangling off bed and immediately needed something to throw up in. I only dry heaved. She kept saying open your eyes, open your eyes and I'm like everytime I do I get sick and feel like I'm going to black out. I was getting pissed!!! She got me some ice chips and that helped so I could get the taste of the anesthesia out of my mouth and a cool rag. She made some comment like we need to get you out of here and I got really mad. I'm like look lady, I just paid a crap load of money and I'm going to take as long as it takes until I feel like I can walk. Finally my head cleared and I was able to stand. I took a few steps, needed a chair. Sat there a minute. Took a few steps, needed a chair. This went on until I made it to the car.
Got home okay...slept most of yesterday and slept really great last night. My pain level is okay. I definitely can move my arms better today but it still pulls.
Oh, I almost forgot....I wound up getting 550's moderate below muscle saline.

They are sitting real high right now.
I went back to the doctor today and got my drains removed. I couldn't see underneath since I got crease incisions but my husband said there wasn't any bruising. My skin is itching like crazy from the stretching and every once and a while I get some pain from moving too fast. I go back next Friday for another check up and then again the next week to have my stitches removed.

Sorry, this is so long. I'm so glad I had this done. I'm sore and tired now but I know this is going to be awesome. Good luck to all you ladies still waiting on yours and thanks to everyone for all your great advice leading up to this. It has been a long time coming, I'm glad it's over with, and am extremely excited to get healed and get these girls out in the world!!!

Thanks

The top of my implants already feel softer today. I'm getting a little more range of motion with my arms but it still pulls a little. I've got my mom and husband to help me so all an all it's been pretty good. I'm so glad I did it. This damn surgery bra is about to drive me crazy...I'm itching like a mad woman from the stretching. Pain pills are heaven sent and I'm going to start taking a stool softener so I can hopefully ease into the BM...ewwww. Anyways, thanks for all ya'll support and I'll post again soon..pain meds kicking in..time for la la land.

The nurses asked me before sugery if they had to go smaller or larger off of what we had discussed what would I pick and I said slightly larger....The doctor told my husband they originally put 575 in but everyone in the room agreed it looked way too big so they backed it up to 550's I'm thinking I'm going to be pretty happy with it. I'm anxious for them to drop so I can have nice perky boobs and not square hard boobs. Hehe....never in my life did I think I would actually be saying that. I'm praying for the best and the speediest of recoveries with little post op complications.

I have pre pics and post pics with drains and maybe tomorrow I'll get the girls out of the bra and take some 2 day post pics. Right now they feel pretty good all snuggled into their tight bra with lots of support. I'm also looking forward to a shower in shortly...my husband is going to wash my hair..that sweet man of mine....he even emptied my drains for me and everything. He's doing so wonderful with this.
Okay, devinitely time to go lay down...head groggy....did the head bob for dozing off just now....best of luck to you ladies and I'll check in with all of you tomorrow.

Hope you get better. Sounds like things will look great in the end. I just hope I don't get nauseous when it's my turn. (I can't stand feeling like I need to throw up.)

Fullerrrrrrrrrrrr

I am so happy to hear your story........I even sent you a message. I am so glad you are doing well. I would be pisssed..........about those nurses. You are so right, you pay all that money, they should not rush you out. I too am very worried about the nausea......do you think it is from the procedure or from the meds they give, I have had a bunch of surgeries and have never been nauseus......I hope your recovery goes well........good luck, looking forward to the pics!

I think it was from the anesthesia....they said to take slow deep breaths to get the anesthesia gases out of lungs faster...of course taking in a deep breath isn't exactly the most comfortable thing. All in all it wasn't too bad just really dizzy feeling. Of all the feelings in the world that disoriented feeling is my least favorite. By the time I got home though it was all passed. Hope everything goes great with yours..I'm sure it will.
I've never tried to post pics before but i'm going to give it a try.
