My Story! So glad I did it!!

Hey chicas!
I am finally feeling "up" to posting my story as this week has been a pretty long WEAK!
Ever since I had my twins 7 years ago, I have been waiting and saving for 1/21/08! I guess it's a little to do with insecurity, but I look at it more like "makeup" - we do what makes us feel a little bit prettier. I have always been an A and wanted to feel more proportionate and look better in clothes, so I was super excited when my husband was so supportive of getting new "girls".....i know, like he wouldn't be.
So after researching docs and finding this website last month and talking with all you wonderful girls, I made some final decisions and went in on Monday. Sunday, I was super nervous, didn't sleep much, boobs hurt already but I couldn't wait! We arrived and checked in the next day and I finally got called back. They talked to us some more and then the fun began!
After trying 4 - yes 4!- times they finally found a vein. That was the most miserable part as I had all the nerves going, it hurt, I could tell the nurses were getting nervous, etc. but I don't remember much after that. I woke up all bound up and slept most of the day.
Tues, I felt better than expected and was super excited to see em. We went to the PS to get bandages changed and I loved how they looked. I had a constant pain in the lower right boob most of the week, but today it seems better. I got fitted into a 34C bra (although I think I need a 32).
Wed at midnight, I woke up puking....THAT WAS MISERABLE!!! I puked most of the day and things started to finally settle when i took the phenergen the doc prescribed.
Thurs I was still sore, mostly from puking i think.
Friday, yesterday, I felt a bit better, went out and got some zip up sports bras, quick bite to eat with my hubby and then crashed hard.
Today, I feel great! I am almost totally off pain meds. The biggest thing right now is the breathing. I find it hard to catch my breath and chest is real tight, but i suspect that all is normal. My back is hurting from sleeping upright too.
The great news is now I am all caught up on LOST and ready for the season premiere this week!

I'm so glad to hear your are doing good!!! I'm sure you look fabulous!! It is so nice when you have good support around you. Take care and keep us posted.

Great for you, glad to hear you are finally started to feel yourself! Why did you wake up sick? Do you think it was the meds or do you think you caught a bug? I hate throwing up.......so I am very curious. I am so happy for you!

I'm glad to hear all is going well for you! I've been waiting awhile too (we're close in age, I'm 37) and March 19th will not get here soon enough!!! I continue to go through the typical worries---if I should do it, will it be OK, will I be happy, etc.---posts like yours get me out of that funk! Enjoy!!

thanks all. after i posted this, i have an addition to my story. day 6 i got sick again. today i feel great, but what's the deal with that?? no meds changed...guess it's just my body getting all back to normal eh? i fell great today so i hope i am over that hurdle!

I've had a couple of 'not so good' days, I didn't get sick or anything but just when I think I'm fine I overdo things and end up sore later that night or the next day...it's all part of the fun Glad to hear you're feeling much better!!
