The Big Day
So this is my story, sorry if it drags on!
i'm 3 days out from my BA and am feeling pretty good, but i still can't quite believe i actually did it!! I have wanted big boobs for as long as i can remember, and for as long as i can remember i have known that if my mum's boobs are anything to go by, i was going to have to get a BA to get them!! Anyway after a long long wait and lots of changing of mind (i was originally going to go overseas to get them done, and was going to go about a cup size bigger) I settled on a date and paid my $$. Prior to BA i was about a B cup (small). i went for 350cc textured silicone, moderate, unders. I'll break it down by days coz its easier Day 1 - pre-cooked about 4 meals for myself, changed my sheets, cleaned etc. a friend gave me the entire box set of SATC plus about 10 other classic dvds like dirty dancing and top gun, and i stocked my cupboard with lots of comfort food for the tough times ahead! BA wasnt until 2pm so had all day to sit around and fret. In the end i took myself off to surgery about an hour earlier because i couldn't wait any longer! As some of you may know i had a slight issue with contact lenses (i lost my glasses about a week before) so i spent my last hour talking to the nurses etc without actually really being able to see anything or anyone! My only moment of slightly freaking out was walking into the operating room and seeing all the lights ... and then them strapping my arms down. Next thing i know my head went all fuzzy and i was out in about 20 seconds flat! Fast forward a few hours later and i was sitting in post op wondering what the h*ll happened!! I dont remember the drive home but i do remember getting wheeled out to the car in a wheelchair (and being embarrassed that they make me sat in it, have no idea why i found that embarrassing). I got home, ate dinner, talked to my housemate, and then fell asleep on the recliner chair that is currently my bed. Day 2 - woke up with food still in my mouth. obviously couldn't stay awake to finish off the last mouthful!! on a scale of 1 to 10 my pain levels were probably about a 5, and was not an issue at all. I watched tv all day, emptied my drains periodically and generally just got irritated by my bandages. Day 3 - Pretty much same as day before except today was the day i got my first good look at my boobies. Once again i was so impatient i turned up early for my appointment, luckily the nurse saw me so i didnt have to wait. They removed my drains and bandages, and gave me a kind of band to put around my chest that sits on the top of my implants (because they are sitting a little high), and then i was on my merry way. Later i had my first round of visitors after 5 when all my friends finished work -I dont think i have ever shown my boobs to as many people in my life as i did in that one day!! After that its all pretty much same same. My next post op appt is in 6 days, but i wish it was earlier ... i just feel like 6 days is such a long time for something to be not right but i guess they know what they are doing. I cannot tell you how much of a relief it was to get those bandages off me. By the end of it i felt so stifled and restricted i thought i would cut them off myself if it had to go on much longer ... It is now day 4, and i am not taking pain meds any more. i went shopping today to buy some new tops as none of mine cover up the sexy cupless bra i have to wear for 3 weeks. I have slept in my chair every night now. I am really starting to get over sleeping in the chair, and more to the point i miss my boyfriend!!! No fun sleeping by yourself ![]() At this stage the only downside is that i don't have any feeling on the the underside of my left breast and nipple. The right one is perfect, its like i never had a surgery. The numbness is strange. A friend of mine told me she has only just regained full feeling in her boobs 2 years on, i hope to god that is not the case with me as it is such an icky feeling ... there's just no other word i can think of to describe it. In summary, I am so happy i got them done. My mum doesn't know and will kill me if and when she finds out, but i know for me it was the right decision. From reading on the forum for the last 7 or 8 weeks i think i had a relatively good run, i have been mobile pretty much from day one, not much pain, and little if any nausea & constipation. My one word of advice to anyone considering getting a BA is this - you must be PATIENT. I think it was really only in the last couple of weeks leading up that i realised that i was not going to wake up from the op with perfect boobs and that would be that. I am only on day 4 and i am already wishing away the weeks!! I cant wait till my boobs soften, i can't wait till they drop. I can't wait till the swelling goes down, i can't wait till the pain subsides ... I can't wait I can't wait I cant wait - i think you get my drift! Good luck to you all and i hope this was helpful x |

Sounds like you were well prepared - I'm sure it helped a lot afterwards. Just think, by next summer they'll be perfect to show off
