Hey ladies- surgery was this morning and I'm slightly sedated by my vicodin, so bare with me

Got up and showered this morning- drove to the hospital- checked in around 7am, they called me back within about 20 minutes and started going over medical questions, had me change into the sweet socks and hair net lol and the nurse was explaining to me step by step what would be happening.. it was weird bc one of my girlfriends mother was working today so we chated a little bit... anywho- I warned the nurse that i usually pass out when I get an IV we laughed and joked around for bit, I like to think of my self as a comedian so I was basically joking the entire time I was back there haha.. lightened things up a bit... well she was pretty cool and got the IV in really well, nearly painless and I was fine.. then the anesthiologist (sp?) guy came over and talked to me a bit, and can i also note that i was asked the same 4 questions probably 40 times from everyone during all of this.. what is your full name, what is your DOB, what are you allergic to and why are you here.... seriously it was obnoxious! anywho, the gave me a little something to relax, my bf got to come back and sit with me, PS came in a marked me up, and next thing I know I'm kissing my bf and they are wheeling me off to the OR..

I remeber telling them "wow its so clean in here" lol.. i was loopy at this point.. they switched me onto a different bed, strapped me down, Dr came in and said so Jana what I'm doing today and I said "your giving me boobies!" and then I was out!!!

When I woke up I was in recovery, had an oxygen mask on, and my throat was KILLING from the tube they had in there, and I had the worst dry mouth ever!!!! guess my surgery took longer bc I was bleeding alot.. not sure wy but they got it under control of course! I was slowly dirfting in and out of consciousness, and had ZERO energy to even talk.. But luckily my pain was only about a 4 or 5 so i got some pain meds pumped into my IV.. my favorite part was when she was dressing me, bc all I have on is a surgical bra so I could see my mountains!!!! Brandon came back and they moved me to a chair, gave me some crackers, and water, and explained to brandon everything I can and cannot do and all that fun stuff! they asked if I had any last questions, and I was like Oh Yeah, How many CC's did I get? guess what! 400 cc's

We drove up and I instantly passed out AFTER my bf fed me a bowl of cereal!! aww he has been so awesome... pulling up and down my pants for me so I can go potty... helping me every 5 minutes to try and get comfortable... he is really amazing.. so here I am now.. icing my boobies everyong once and a while, and trying to take deep breaths but its kinda hard right now.. chest is really stretched and tight.. I go to see the PS tomorrow... so i will let you all know how it goes!!! I'm kinda out of it, and a bit exhausted, so I'm gonna try and rest!!

OMG and get this- as soooon as I get home and plop on the couch my bf lets our maltese LoLa out and although she is only about pounds she came running at me and climbed on my effing chest! OUCH! i was freakin for a second, like "oh my gosh I hope she didnt mess anything up" and blah blah blah..but im fine.. jsu scared the crap outta me!!

what a great story, sounds like you had a great surgery! rest up and maybe let your wonderful bf gate the doggie out while you rest?
