Well, I HAVE to admit that everything was MUCH easier than I expected!!! There were only a couple parts that I didn't care for, but I'll start at the beginning!
Arrived at surgery center at 8am yesterday. The nurse took me back & I changed into gown. They let me keep on my panties & socks. Then they tried to start an IV, but my veins kept blowing. Luckily I have no fear of needles, and I handled it fine without getting stressed because they had to stick the IV FIVE TIMES before they finally got it to work!! The nurses were WAY more stressed about it than I was though. There were several of them & they were taking turns trying, but my veins just would not cooperate! After they got a good one, they brought some liquid valium & gave me half the tube of it. I was visited by the anes & then my PS came in to talk to me & drew on my chest. Then I got the other half of the tube of valium, and they wheeled me back to the operating room! They got me comfy on the table & put warm blankets over me. That was the last thing I remember! I woke up in recovery, and I was in a lot of pain. My chest was so heavy that I felt like I couldn't speak, and couldn't tell the nurse how bad I hurt, so I just started BAWLING my eyes out! They saw me crying & came over and asked if I was ok. I barely squeaked out "it hurts so bad". So after a couple doses of Demerol I was feeling much better! And besides the swelling, I have felt pretty good ever since! I'm taking my pain meds on schedule, I'm sleeping fine, I can get up & around by myself, and I still have great range of motion with my arms! I'm surprised at how good I feel Well, I am supposed to go take a shower now, and take off the bandages in exchange for the sports bra, so I will post more later!!

Welcome
I am so happy for you I felt the same way when I woke up. So do they look huge? Was it what you wanted. Are they really high?
I am happy that your recovery is going good. |

Thanks to you all! Yes my recovery is perfect so far!
I think the size is going to be JUST RIGHT. They are currently pushed up to my collarbone, and into my armpits, LOL but I can just tell that when they come down, it will be a great size. I am staying at my mom's for the weekend just in case I need any help, and it is nice to have her here for the little stuff. I took my shower & it felt SOOOO good to get clean, and let the warm water pour over my swollen boobies. I washed my incisions and everything. I haven't been very hungry, so I've just been making myself snack every couple hours. The Ensure drinks are good for that. My mouth has been really dry, so I've been drinking a lot of diet sprite & apple juice. As for the swollen issues, my PS has me icing them down, and taking Ibuprofen. Does anyone have any other tips or advice to help them go down faster???

Welcom
My doctor didn't even tell me to ice or use ibeprofen (SP). I asked if I was supposed to when I went back the next day and they said no. I guess I don't have a lot of swelling as I have no tenting, skin isnt shinny from being streched, no sun burn feeling, and they arent all the way tup to my collar bone. I will post some pictures of mine later but as for what else to do I don't think there is much other then to make sure that you are keeping elevated!

yeah, pain isn't bad at all, but the swelling feels really tight.
They said that today would be my hardest day, so I guess this will be an easy recovery overall! My mom is really surprised at how well I'm getting around! My appetite is coming back now too! Thank goodness I have my mommy here to cook for me!!

Dr Whitpenn charges $4000 for Saline, the consult is $35, but if you schedule your surgery the day of your consult, then they apply that fee to your surgery, and you pay $535 that day. The remainder of the balance is due at your pre-op appt, one week before the surgery! I highly recommend him!!!
Still feeling good this evening. I love my PS ![]() I've been kicking back in the recliner most the day just watching movies & playing on laptop. Feels good to get up, stretch & move around every couple hours. I find that if I lay around TOO long I get stiff & uncomfortable. I haven't taken anything for pain since around lunch, and I'm not hurting. Still keeping frozen bags of peas on the swelling, it feels really good. I starting taking Milk of Magnesia just in case bc I didn't wanna get blocked up from all the pain meds. I think I took a little too much tho, haha now I have the opposite problem
