Research, Consultation, and Pre-Op
I used to be a perky 36B until I breastfed my 3 wonderful daughters for a total of 4 years. I then became an empty, deflated 36A (just skin on my chest really). After having my second daughter I began researching breast augmentation. I found my doctor online and loved everything I read about him. I kept in contact with his office assistant for those 4 years with any questions I had. After having our third child my husband and I decided we would do this once I weaned her! Three months after I weaned my 3rd baby I went in for my 1st consultation. I knew from the begininning that he was the doctor I wanted and they asked me if I would like to go ahead and do my pre-op appt. on that same day so they could save me a trip (3 hr. drive from my house). Very kind of them and I went ahead and did that. His office assistant was/is so sweet and responded to all my questions right away any time I emailed her.
Week Prior to Surgery
I was completely calm and never nervous until I reached this week. I became a nervous wreck. I felt like I had so much to do and the days were flying by. My daughters even got the flu the day before my surgery...OH NO! But because of all the lovely ladies on this site I had lots of support to get me through. So I was calmed down. My hubby and I brought my 3 daughters to my MIL house the night before my surgery because we were going to be leaving very early in the morning.
When I got home I took my shower and shaved. I got in bed at midnight.
Day of Surgery
I woke up at 4:00am. Took another shower and washed really good. No makeup, moisturizer, deodorant, etc. Boy, did that cut down my time on getting ready! I brushed and blow dried my hair since it was freezing cold out. I took a hair tie just in case I needed it, got my pics for the doc, got directions to the surgery center, grabbed a pillow, my purse, and my camera. Woke up my hubby, he got ready, and we left at 5:00am. I was supposed to arrive at 8:00am and surgery would be at 9:00am. I arrived at 7:30am and was surprisingly greeted by name by the lady at the front desk. She got me started right away on the paperwork and when we finished she told me they would be right out to get me. So I waited with my hubby for only a few minutes before they called me. Hubby had to stay in the waiting room at this time and could come back later. They had me pee in a cup (for preg. test) then the nurse took me to a room with a hospital bed with a gown and hat lying on it. She told me to take everything off with opening in the back and then to just lay on the bed. So I did and waited a few min. She and another male nurse came in and she did my BP while he strapped these things around my lower legs that squeezed them (kind of like a massage) to prevent blood clots. He then put a blanket on me that blew warm air on me...oooh so cozy. She took my left hand to put the IV in, did a numbing shot (didn't hurt), and then took her time to find a good vein and got it right in. She was an awesome nurse! Then they let my hubby come in. A nurse that was going to be in the operating room came in and explained/answered everything. The the anest. came in explained/answered everything and then the anethesiologist came in and did the same. They were all so wonderful. Then my doc came in and told me "I know you've been emailing that you really want 510cc, but I can't promise what I can get in you." Then I said, "That's okay, just fit what you can...I want them really full and side boob too...and cleavage!" Then he had me sit up and he did his beautiful artwork between my boobies and underneath. He was very precise and measured. Then he left and the anest. came in and put something in my IV. Then...NO MEMORY! I don't even remember my hubby leaving. I woke up in a room similar to the one I was in but I knew it wasn't quite the same. My hubby calling my name is what woke me up. I felt very smiley and the nurse came over to help me sit up and asked my pain level and I guess I said a number...I don't remember. She helped me wobble to the bathroom to pee. No memory again of walking to the car or any of the ride home. I do know the nurse gave me animal crackers and an apple juice to take a pain pill. When we got home hubby woke me up and helped me wobble up our steps, onto our porch and into my comfy recliner...NO MEMORY again. I was passed out until late last night. Got up, took some pics, felt awesome and so happy! I slept on our recliner and was quite comfy. I woke up enough that I took all my meds on time.
Day 2
I'm feeling so good just a little sore. I have all the feeling in my boobs, no numbness. I had the areola incision and I still have all the feeling in my nipples. My doc does rapid recovery and I know this has to be why I feel so fantastic. I just lift my arms above my head at least 2x every hour. I was able to take a shower 24hrs after my surgery. I couldn't be any happier.

I forgot to say that on surgery day when we got home the doc called and my hubby talked to him (since I was passed out) and told him he put 645cc in me because he thought it complimented my body very well and that it was more like the pics I wanted. HE IS THE BEST!! WOOHOO...BIG BOOBIES!
WOW 645cc's that's awesome WOO HOO I'm soooo happy for you ~ They are finally here ... yay ~~ isn't it just wonderful?? ~ remember to stay rested but please keep us updated when you can YAYAYAYA

The doctor does a very gentle surgery and doesn't just shove it in and be rough. He also has me start raising my arms right away after surgery at least 2 times an hour. This allows the muscle to stay loose and not get stiff and make recovery longer. I'm sure there is more detail to it, but that's the part I know. I wouldn't do anything else! I love it and I have no numbness either. I'm so beyond happy!

Thanks. I noticed we have very similar stats and you are wanting the same size I was hoping for. Your day will come faster than you think. I'll let you know what size I am by then. Good luck.

Hello Jeremysgirl 1984-I'm the one that also went to Dr. Kofkoff that talked with you a couple months ago. I'm very glad that everything went so well for you. He is a really good doctor. I also had a very good experience, but I must say......sadly that I still have quite a lot of numbness. Both of my nipples have virtually no feeling in them. I can't understand because I just got 350 cc's. I will be 10 mo po the 29th of this month. I have talked through email to Teresa, and really the only thing I can do is wait. But, at this point I've just about given up hope that I will get the feeling back. I would be thrilled if I had feeling in just one. I'm really happy for you that you have had no numbness, that's wonderful as it is always a concern. I know you are happy to have surgery behind you. Happy healing!
