Well, it’s 4 days before my breast augmentation. I cannot believe I will have boobs soon. I started thinking about this 10 years ago or so. I had a consult Fall 2004 and the results of my mammo came back with a lump that needed to be removed. So, got that done, and 3 years later with 3 good mammos decided it was time. I feel comfortable with my decision. I know there are risks and complications that can occur even years down the road. Hey, I skydived on my 44th birthday and there are more risks with that!

I told myself I had to stop smoking before I could get boobs. I quit on Jan 23. I am determined to not start again and I think getting boobs will also encourage me to exercise and get in shape. I want to be healthy and look good for hubby and myself! My reasons for getting this are mainly to have clothes, bras, bathing suits and lingerie fit me, darn it! And I want to feel sexy and look sexy! Though I already feel sexy sometimes, I just need the boobs to look sexy. DH says he likes me the way I am and it is totally my decision. We have had many discussions of the pros and cons. He is so supportive. I also have my Dad’s support and I’m thankful my Dad is my friend and I can talk to him about this. Though I don’t tell him everything. hehe

About 6 years ago, I meet a gal who is now my close friend. She had a breast aug and she raved about her doctor. I choose him also because he and his staff are patient with my many questions, extremely knowledgable, caring, my concerns are their concerns and I feel very comfortable with them all. We had fun trying on the different sizes, even the big, big, big ones....woo hoo....hubby said go for it. But Doc and I decided on 475 cc’s filled to 485R-490L to give me a Full c/Small D.

A few weeks ago I found a wonderful online forum with ladies discussing all aspects of new boobies. I became overwhelmed with all the info. Wow, there was a lot I never thought of or found out in my research. So I joined and became addicted immediately. One result of this forum, Thank you ladies, is that I decided to go BIGGER. Because of my height and weight I learned that I could use more cc’s and that a small D would really be a C. My doc did tell me this also. I was initially being conservative but hey, might as well get my money’s worth, right? I’ve talked to the gals at docs office a few times and they agree I could carry 500 ccs easy and not look all boob. But doc has the final decision as to what would be best for me and I trust him. I will address with him the day of surgery. Which is Friday!

I prepared, this past weekend, with most of what I think I will need: jellos, juices, oatmeal, soup, gauze, neosporin, magazines, heating pad, pillows, blankets, frozen peas, RX’s. I even bought a new “outfit” to wear to surgery. I hope I have things that will fit me afterwards. Well, that’s it for Part 1. I’ll add more after surgery!

I used palmers cocoa butter stretch mark lotion stuff when I was preganant.. I only put it on my belly and thats the only place that didnt get stretch marks! LOL... I'm pretty sold on the stuff now.

what a nice post, I have to tell you, two days ago I thought I was going to regret these girls, but now I feel so great, and sooooooooo glad I did it. Just keep that in my mind two days of hell=nice big taataas and no looking back!

Thanks so much for sharing your story.. When I was reading it, sounds just like my whole reason for doing it..I am not a young chic anymore but I want to feel young dress hot and be sexy.. (Just like you said)..Good luck and hope to hear from you really soon.. Mine is coming up soon and I need all the input that I can get.. Thanks to all the ladies in here..

Dr Borsand recommended the Palmers that you mention. I have been using it everyday since my consult.

It's good to know it will be rough for only 2 days, though that is enough! I'm not looking forward to that part but hopefully Dr. Borsand's technique will make a heck of a difference. I've always had easy recoveries from surgery so well see. OMG ~ 2 days and I will be in Boobieville with you!

You are welcome and I'm glad I helped. It's hard for me to shop sometimes since I love all the younger styles, I have to be careful not to dress too young for my age. I still love New York & Co. and Express!

Well, this is it. Tomorrow at this time I will have ....listen to this....
big b(o)(o)bies! I can't believe it is finally here. Tuesday I was feeling really strange about it all ~ Like I woke up and the realization hit me and I was thinking what have I gotten myself into? lol. But that weird feeling left and now I am just ready to get it done and over! I have to be a the surg center at 1 p.m. which sucks, I was hoping for morning. How will I get thru the morning w/o my coffee and no breakfast OR lunch! Maybe I'll sleep till about 10 a.m....yeah right! I'm feeling calm, ready, happy, just a tad nervous. I'm not a vain person but you know what I don't like about this? That I cannot use any mousse or gel or anything in my hair! It could catch fire, the pre op nurse told me. My hair is naturally curly so I have to use products to make it look nice. That means my hair will be fuzzy! But it's all good and I will be back asap here to let ya' all know about this quick recovery technique. Boobieville here I come............

Just a quick note to let you all know I am home.....and I have boobs! Everything went very well and I feel great. My surgery was around 3 p.m. and it's 6 p.m. now. I will write more about today later on after I eat and return calls and rest up some. I am so excited and oh, I got 500 cc's filled to 540 L and 550R. More later.................

Day of Surgery
Had a pretty good night’s sleep. Scheduled to be at the surgery center at 1 p.m. so we left at 11:45 a.m. Had my barf bucket and pillows for the ride home. Arrived at 12:30 and the nurse came out and told me they tried calling; They are running about an hour behind and I don’t need to be there till 2. We went back to their MedSpa room, which was beautiful and relaxing. So we waited there till about 2:15 p.m. A second nurse got me and took me to the operating room waiting area were she took my BP, temp and I changed to this lovely gown. lol She hooked me up to the IV. PS came in around 2:45 p.m. He glanced down at DH’s magazine and pointed to a tool in an ad and told DH to get that one. DH said is that the kind you use here? PS said yes that’s what we use....it was some sort of SAW! Glad PS is in a good mood. lol So he went on to measure me and mark me up, asked me what were we doing, etc etc. I told him I wanted to go bigger to a Full D rather than a full C. He mentioned he would do HP which surprised me b/c I thought those were for smaller girls, which it is, for ribcages 33” and under and my RC is 33” so he could go either way on me. I said I wanted projection and he was impressed that I knew what projection was. lol He said they would like really nice on me. He marked on me 500 cc filled to 515 on left and 525 on right. I mentioned I was so hungry and PS said he was too and that he and DH were going across the street to enjoy some Chinese food and that I should be done when they come back. I love a good sense of humor!! The Anest. came in asked more questions followed by another nurse and she walked me over to the OR. I laid on the table, but by arms on the pads on the side, she said on the left arm she was putting a BP cuff, then told me she was putting on heart monitor thingies, and I was out! I don’t remember anything till I woke up around 4 p.m. with a heavy feeling on my chest. I don’t remember what I said but I remember the nurse saying that it was all done! Woo hoo! PS went over everything with DH and I got dressed and we left around before 4:30 p.m. I was starving and now I could EAT! I wanted In n Out Burger really bad so we went thru the drive in and on home. Was home by 5:30. Ate, returned calls, replied to emails. I was feeling really good, amazingly! DH is wonderful! I can’t say enough about how good he is taking care of me. I tend to be pretty self sufficient most of the time, and there are things I can do, but I’m letting him help me with everything. They like and need to feel needed. (just a word of advise to the younger gals) lol. He is doing my exercises with me! Which I might add are not too bad and actually it feels good to stretch. What I am doing is putting my fingers together with arms out in front of me, raise them up over my head and my biceps should touch my ears. Take a deep breath and let it out then drop arms to sides, another deep breath and push arms back. I do 5 reps per hour. Then around 7:30 p.m. I pooped ~ yea! and hope I continue ~ I hate constipation! The rest of the evening I rested in my recliner set up so comfy with blankets and pillows. Still not in a lot of pain but just discomfort. PS called around 8:30 p.m. to see how I was ~ aaahhh that was so nice of him and I appreciated that so much. He told DH everything went really very well in my surgery. I will see him on Monday morning. I’ve started my meds, didn’t need the nausea meds, as I have been eating non stop since I got home. I ate almost a whole package Do-si-does after having my double cheeseburger and fries. And PS said coca cola is good to take with pain meds cause it helps to accelerate the effect or something like that. So I ended up with 540 Right and 550 Left. I took the ace bandage off before bed now all I have on is a sports bra. No drains, no strap. I think this type of surgery (My PS calls it the 24 hour Recovery, but it’s the same as Rapid recovery, I think) there is minimal bleeding, therefore no drain needed. I woke up at 4:30 a.m. feeling really, really sore! I took a pain med and back to my recliner. Sleep till 7:30, up and had toast & juice and now here is am on the computer. Oh, and they said I could shower today, but I think I afraid to lol. This is getting too long so I’ll close for now. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts and I’m so glad to have found you all.

Congrats, and I hope I have that easy of a recovery.. I am reading in here about this rapid recovery.. Explain.. Cause that is what I want... LOL
