my story!
So it was up time at 7:30 am on wed the 20th to get ready for the flight over to Sussex, all went well but once we landed i started getting a little nervous
once we got to the hospital, i started feeling a little better, the staff were awesome, and as soon as i was checked out, i was allowed back to the hotel with my hubby and son! 8 am im back at the hospital, the staff tell me my surgeon starts at 11 so i could be any time between 11am and 7:30 pm, at 10:30 my surgeon comes in and discusses everything with me and marks me up, at 11 am the anesthetist visits me an tells me im next up at 12 pm (woot!!!) so he reassures me all will be fine, im worrying a bit at this point 12pm arrives and im ready to be taken away, i felt weird being wheelled off away from my hubby and son, who looked so so sad ![]() my room was opposite the operating room so i was in quicky!, i got my IV in and talked thru some stuff, given anesthetic n that, then i was told the general anesthetic was going in now, i was given oxygen and told to think about my hubby and son next thing im waking up to someone saying ''shes waking up'' haha i felt fine, no sore throat or anything!so i was wheeled back into my room i had a peek when i was able to and i was so pleased!! i rang my hubs to come back to see me as soon as i could the rest of the day/ night was great, i felt a bit sick when i was eating, but no pain or discomfort at all! the next morning the consultant tells me everythings great! i get my drains out, eek!, the nurse came in with oxygen tanks and the usual sterile bags n things, i took oxygen for the right drain comming out, it felt weird!!! then the left one, the oxygen ran out!, so i took deep breaths and it wasnt as bad, the left drain wasnt in as deeply as the right one thankfully! im then told i can go back to the hotel with my hubby and son whenever i liked!, so i rang the hubs and got him to come over asap! we enjoyed a really nice dinner befre getting an early night for the flight home the next morning and my boobies didnt explode!! haha so in all it was an awesome experience , im now 8 days post op and i still havent had any pain, i havent had to touch the pain meds i was sent home with, strangely lol, well i guess i was the same after my c section, my mum says im made of metal haha

Congratulations!! You sound like a tough cookie -- no pain meds?! And a flight home the day after surgery? I'm glad for you!
Thanks for sharing your story.
