New Resident to a town called BOOBIEVILLE!
Hello ladies! I had my boobs done yesterday I was so nervous in the morning I had to use the bathroom 4 times (TMI) and then the secretary made me even more nervous when she sent my husband to the pharmacy to get the percoset script. I said "Don't you think we can do that on the way home? We aren't from this area and I would hate for him to get lost." She said to my husband "Trust me, she is NOT going to want to wait for her pain meds". I could have thrown up right there. I have a high tolerance for pain, but I also have terrible anxiety. At least the hubby had something to do besides sit there and worry I guess lol.So they got me into my gown right away, I could hear them prepping the room and all of that while my PS was cleaning me with some alcohol stuff that stained my cute undies and marking me up. I'll trade a pair of cute undies for cute boobies anyday We went over the size one last time. He said "So again, what size are we going to be?" I started in CC's he corrected me and said "No, siiizzze..." I laughed and said "Large D, or DD I hope!" He said "We'll see if it fits" and smiled." Then the anesthesiologist came in to talk to me. Asked a bunch of question, had a few laughs and left me for a while. Then I asked if I could make a trip to the bathroom- then straight into the OR. They got me onto a table that was surprisingly comfortable and put the circulation boots onto my legs. They put a monitor on my thigh and inserted the IV. I was so cold the Anesthesiologist couldn't see the veins in my arm very well and when he hit it on the first shot made a joke - he said "not bad for my first time!" We all started laughing and I remember him saying something about me thinking my anesthesiologist was a psycho. I actually prefer humor Then the typical pre sedation small talk ensued...I think I remember someone saying that is so you go under relaxed. I fell asleep fairly quickly and the next thing I remember I was waking up with my husband sitting next to me. The nurse would walk in every so often and ask me how I was feeling and all I could muster up was "Tirreeedd". From what I recall, every time I have been sedated, that is what I say. I am always very calm and not much for small talk. I was FREEZING. No pain, very little pressure but so very cold. They had to give me something for nausea, I always get very nauseas after being sedated. I threw up twice there and then was ok. My husband said after I vomited I looked alot better. I tend to get very pale when feeling icky like that. Once I was mostly awake they brought me downstairs and into the car. The way home was ok except for the bumps My SUV has a very soft suspension and it was uncomfortable, so I feel for anyone whose car has a firm ride after a BA. Once home, I laid down and took a percocet, I wasn't in pain but followed doctors orders. I HATE PERCOCET. I have never been able to do anything like percocet or vicodin without getting so sick I would rather tolerate the pain. About 10 minutes later I had to vomit from the percocet, thank god I had the vomit bucket thing they gave me for the ride home. They made me feel loopy and out of it. I only took two yesterday, and stopped after the second. I have been taking tylenol and don't have any real pain besides the discomfort when trying to get up. I am on celebrex as well, which I am pretty sure helps with pain and swelling. I don't have much swelling, no frankenboob. That confuses me because I went under the muscle. Very minimal bruising so far, only a tad under the boob around the incision area. In the end I ended up going with salines, and he fit 450cc in each boobie Hooray for boobies! Thanks for listening to my story....the trip to boobieville so far has been a happy, easy one...

Thanks for sharing your detailed story! I am worried about being cold, too. I HATE being cold...it doesn't take much for me to be cold (yet I live in WI, go figure), so being in a cold OR in a flimsy gown just does not sound all that inviting to me....I am actually dreading feeling cold more than anything! Brrrrrr!!! That's great that you had a fun OR staff. My ps is quite a cut-up with a pretty dry sense of humor, so I'm hopeful I'll be drifting off to lala land in a happy (but chilly) mood.
I'm glad to hear you aren't too swollen or anything like that - sounds like you're off to a good start! Take good care of yourself and just relax - you deserve it!
